Philadelphia 76ers new Head Coach Doc Rivers delivers an inspiration speech in the 76ers Lock Room. After a horrific thrashing and exit out of the first round of playoffs for the Philadelphia 76ers they made a strategic front office change. With Doc Rivers as the new Head Coach, Simmons and Embiid will have a lot of mobility on the court. 76ers are acquired Danny Green and Dwight Howard from the LA Lakers in this off-season.

The 76ers won their first game against under Rivers in the pre-season. They won 108-99 against Boston Celtic’s. With Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons leading from the front, they scored 18 and 16 points respectively. With Tobias Harris coming off the bench and getting some game time, having scored 16.

We’re established in our pace” Doc Rivers

While addressing the team during the post-match locker room speech, coach Rivers said, “I think we’re established in our pace. But we’re still, it’s work in progress, right? I’m just gonna keep stand only on the pass. Gotta keep spacing the floor, I saw that space in the second half. Guys who run out in the middle got to keep that floor space. Okay! You are just going to pass for each other, that’s four times easy. Alright, if you’re covered and somebody’s open [indiscernible] … good job guys. 1 2 3, championship!”

The franchise made some good off-season moves by sending AI Horford to OKC for Danny Green and swapping Josh Richardson for Seth Curry. With these two names, creating space will no longer be a very major issue for the 76ers. Next, they have rookie Isaiah Joe and star Shake Milton, who can shoot well under rotation. As a point shooter, apart from Danny and Curry, they can take help from Matisse Thybulle.

If things fall according to Rivers, the 76ers could go a long distance if this season. Especially having Green, Seth Curry and Howard in the roster, 76ers have ample of experience to support Embiid and Simmons.
