Number 3 ranked Women’s bantamweight contender Aspen Ladd has called out number 6 ranked Julianna Pena for a fight this spring. It’s been a while since Aspen Ladd stepped into the octagon, and it looks like she wants to make the comeback after a long lay-off, count.

Taking to Twitter, Aspen Ladd exclaimed that she knew who she wants and that she (Julianna Pena) should ‘follow through’. She also revealed that she would be ready, with spring approaching. The only surprise here being, why a number 3 ranked Aspen Ladd is calling out a fighter ranked well below her!?

Aspen Ladd (9-1) is coming off a TKO victory over Yana Kunitskaya, albeit, way back in December 2019. A series of injuries has kept her out of action in the year 2020, and now she is up and running. Julianna Pena (10-4), on the other hand is coming off a victory over Sara McMann at the recently concluded UFC 257, beating her via submission in the third round.

Coincidentally, both the fighters got back to winning ways, after losing to Germaine de Randamie in respective events. What do you think of this match-up?
