Paul George can’t seem to catch a break, even when he’s on vacation. The veteran star, in his first year with the Philadelphia 76ers, has not been his usual self all season long. With his team struggling to secure a playoff spot heading into the NBA All-Star break, George took time away from basketball to focus on making the most of his midseason break with his wife, Daniela George, in a rather NSFW fashion.

The 76ers star reposted photos of him enjoying his midseason break with a day out at the beach to his Instagram story. In the images posted by his wife, Paul George can be seen shirtless, making a provocative gesture as his wife stunned alongside him in a red bikini swimsuit at what appears to be the Nikki Beach in Cabo, Mexico.

The photos instantly went viral online as many Sixers fans were stunned to see their biggest offseason acquisition spending time with his wife on vacation instead of getting some reps in before the season restarts. But, as any normal superstar with a career as accomplished as George would, PG-13 rather chose to make the best of his time off with his wife.

Daniela George, whose maiden name is Daniela Rajic, is a former model and an entrepreneur. She married Paul George in 2022, during his time with the Los Angeles Clippers. As George misses out on the All-Star game this season, he will get a rare opportunity to take some time off during the All-Star Break, especially as he has been selected to the All-Star game nine times in his 15-year career.

They currently sit with a 20-34 record on the year, just 1.5 games shy of the Chicago Bulls for the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers still have a sneaky chance to make it to the play-in games, from where they are definitely a wild card for any team in the East come playoff time. However, that will only be the case if their star players, Embiid and George, can manage to stay healthy.

Paul George reportedly taking injections to play

Even though fans might expect Paul George to be in the gym trying to regain some of his lost form, that might be a tough proposition given his latest medical updates. George has been struggling to stay healthy all season due to an unending list of injuries, and ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the 76ers star has been taking pain-killer injections to play through the severity of his injuries.

He’s been doing everything he can to be on the court, to try and be available. I’m told it’s to the point where he has gotten injections to play and compete over the last four or five games. That’s something players do come playoff time. Not necessarily in the regular seasons.

That is a scary update for 76ers fans, as the nagging injuries to George could potentially derail any remaining chances of the team making a late-season playoff push. After a dreadful start to the year, primarily due to a flurry of injuries to their star trio of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George, the Sixers have fought their way back to the 11th seed.
