The NASCAR Cup garage is in a huge uncertainty over the new charter agreement. The current review sharing model deal is coming to an end at the end of the 2024 season, yet the new deal for the 2025 season and beyond hasn’t yet been signed. Teams are demanding more than what NASCAR is willing to offer and they are struggling find a middle ground.

Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s 23XI Racing team has been the most vocal in the garage over the negotiations. The latter recently appeared in the YouTube show of ex-NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace, the Kenny Conversation, and discussed about the current state of negotiations. He seems really disappointed about where it is at the moment.

He pointed out that the teams are in a tough place over how the negotiation has been mostly one sided from NASCAR. Hamlin admitted that every proposal the teams send got worse response from NASCAR and it’s keep getting worse. He admitted that the situation is much worse than what it was initially.

We're banging our heads up against the wall, because repeatedly as these negotiations have gone on, there's been no negotiation, Kenny. Every proposal they send back to us is worse than the previous. That is factual, it keeps getting worse...We are worse off than we were two years ago, and we are 8 months away from the Daytona 500.

Denny Hamlin explains why Pocono is great track to return to

The NASCAR Cup garage is at Pocono this weeks’ race and Denny Hamlin is coming to the track a happy man with a lot of hope as it’s a track that suits him well. He is also impressed by how family friendly the track is.

It seems like the fans continue to come out in huge numbers every time we go to Pocono. They have improved it. They have great family facilities in the infield with a huge playground for all the kids, so I think Pocono is one of the great racetracks that we continue to visit every year.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver will be hoping to end his streak of underwhelming results this week and get back to wining form. If he is able to secure a win, he can get himself in a good spot to win the regular season championship again.
