3 bold predictions for King and Queen of the Ring 2024
WWE has raised the stakes for this year's King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

The King and Queen of the Ring PLE is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 25. As the name implies, the main focus will be on the tournament finals. In addition to that, there are three major championship matches announced for the 2024 edition.
Having said that, several big names will be competing on the show. Cody Rhodes will be defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Logan Paul in what might be the main event of the night. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan will settle their differences in a Women’s World title bout. Sami Zayn will take on the ruthless leader of The Alpha Academy, Chad Gable and Bronson Reed in a triple-threat Intercontinental Championship match.
As for the finals of the tournaments, tonight’s edition of SmackDown will decide the remaining competitors. More importantly, Triple H announced that the winners would receive championship matches at SummerSlam. Therefore, there are a lot of stakes on the line at King and Queen of the Ring.
Randy Orton will be crowned this year’s King of the Ring
Until last night, Gunther was the odds-on favorite to win the 2024 King of the Ring. However, following Triple H’s announcement, Randy Orton may be in contention as well. Since his return to WWE, fans have yearned for a dream match between The Viper and Cody Rhodes. Now that both stars are on the same brand, the chances of the bout taking place have increased significantly.
As such, a match of this caliber can only take place at a big 4 PLE. Therefore, if Orton does win, he could end up challenging Rhodes at SummerSlam. The eventual rivalry would involve the two men not only fighting for the prestigious title but also their respective ‘legacies’.
Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day will help Liv Morgan win the Women’s World Championship
For weeks now, fans have witnessed WWE drop subtle hints in regards to Liv Morgan and The Judgment Day. The former Women’s Champion was first spotted exiting the same locker room as Dominik Mysterio. Further, she and Finn Balor seemingly got out of the same car ahead of this week’s episode of Raw. Despite being Rhea Ripley‘s arch nemesis, the faction might kick out Mami by introducing Morgan as its newest member.
On Saturday, Daddio will be competing for the same title that Ripley vacated due to injury. Having said that, the Eradicator’s faction helping Morgan win the championship would be a dagger through the former’s heart. Moreover, it would add intrigue to the storyline, which has been fairly lackluster, to say the least.
Uncle Howdy-led faction will debut at King and Queen of the Ring
Well, this might not be a ‘bold’ prediction per se. Since WrestleMania XL, vignettes, QR codes, and glitches have constantly popped up on WWE programming. Of course, all of these are reminiscent of the late Bray Wyatt‘s iconic return at Extreme Rules 2022. Following in the footsteps of his brother, Bo Dallas in the will soon be re-debuting under the Uncle Howdy persona.
However, he won’t be alone. Uncle Howdy will be appearing in front of fans’ screens alongside some of his friends. The WWE Universe won’t have to wait long enough, as it is believed that they’ll be debuting at King and Queen of the Ring. And who knows? Uncle Howdy could also take another page out of Wyatt’s book by emerging after the main event.
