Barcelona’s young starlet, Vitor Roque has been the point of attraction in Barcelona for the last few months. He has not received game time under the former head coach, Xavi Hernandez, since the time he made his move to the Catalan club. Now, even in the pre-season under new manager Hansi Flick, Roque has not received enough game time.

Recent reports from Diario SPORT reveals that Barcelona are ready to let Roque leave on Loan. Porto Lazio and Napoli are some of the interested clubs who are willing to sign the Barcelona youngster on loan.

Barcelona board has finally come to the conclusion that they have to allow Roque to plan his own future and receive proper game time in some other club.

Vitor Roque has missed last few training sessions due to illness

The Barcelona players got a two-day rest after the pre-season in the USA and were asked to report at the club’s Ciutat Esportiva for a training session on the morning of 9th August 2024. Flick had given rest to all the players after the strenuous pre-season that they had against Manchester City, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

Roque missed the training sessions as per Mundo Deportivo and the source revealed illness as the reason behind his absence. He arrived at Ciutat Esportiva facilities with poor health and fever and was checked by the doctors. After the examination, he was advised to return home.

The club officials and his agent Andre Cury had some recent meetings and it is very clear that the youngster might leave the club before the summer transfer window ends. However, it has to be seen if he does get fit for the Joan Gamper trophy match against Monaco.

Roque received just 75 minutes of game time in the full pre-season which is really not adequate to develop the player. However, the club official feels that he is yet to reach his full potential and can be the striker who can replace Robert Lewandowski in the long run. So, they will only facilitate a loan move and not a permanent move.
