The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady announced that he has donated a hundred thousand USD for Hurricane Milton relief. The quarterback played three seasons in Tampa Bay winning one ring with them.
Hurricane Milton wreaked havoc across the state just two weeks after Hurricane Helene made landfall in the Big Bend region. Milton, which originated in the Western Caribbean Sea is the strongest tropical cyclone worldwide in 2024. Apart from Florida, and Georgia in the US, the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, parts of Cuba, and the Bahamas were also affected by the hurricane.
Tom Brady, who won a ring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stays in a waterfront mansion in Miami. Brady was almost on the verge of joining the Chicago Bears instead of the Bucs. He announced the donation through a social media post, stating that it would go into providing essentials like food and water.

The post also mentioned that Go Puff will be matching the donations by Brady, and they will be done through their portal to the Volunteer Florida Foundation.
A lot of big names have been pitching in to help the state and its citizens after the biggest cyclone. Taylor Swift made a $5 million donation to Feeding America for getting clean water and essentials to people.
Hurricane Milton causes major disruptions across the NFL
The impact of Hurricane Milton has been widespread, causing disruptions throughout industries including professional sports. Videos of Tropicana Stadium of Tampa Bay Rays and a WWE venue being wrecked are making rounds on social media. Jacksonville Jaguars, who are supposed to play the Chicago Bears in London this week may arrive later than expected.

The team was supposed to leave by Thursday night and reach early Friday morning. However, it is reported that there’s a delay due to the impending weather. They have also postponed a media conference scheduled on Friday evening to Saturday morning. The Tampa Buccaneers have evacuated to New Orleans, preponing their travel plans instead of training in Tampa Bay.
The Glazer family, who owns the Buccaneers have bought around 200 hotel rooms in Orlando and Gainesville to help relocate the relatives and friends of their players. The Raymond James stadium, home to the Bucs, is reported to have been flooded by the impact of the cyclone. However, the stadium structure hasn’t been affected, unlike the Tampa Bay Rays’ home ground.
