49ers’ Deommodore Lenoir bizarrely sleeps with the smoke detector beeping: “I’m kinda superstitious”

Athletes can inspire fans most of the time. Their dedication to their craft and their willingness to win has fans taking notice always. The same can be said about San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, one who has elevated his game and become a starter for the Super Bowl contenders. That said, just like other stars who have elevated their game, he too has a superstition.
The former 5th rounder was a guest on the show, Up & Adams. There while conversing, host Kay Adams asked him about the smoke detector on his roof which was constantly beeping.
That was nobody's job. My smoke detectors still going off right now. I've done switched the batteries, maybe I'm doing it wrong.Deommodore Lenoir said
To this Adams asked if he was sleeping with the detector constantly beeping.
I didn't hear it so far, so I don't even hear it. It's been going on since last season. It's been good luck, so I just let it go. I've been playing good so far the whole season, and I'm kind of superstitious.Deommodore Lenoir replied
Kay Adams was clear that this was one of the most bizarre superstitions she had ever heard. The noise from the smoke detector was making her feel like scratching her skin off. This could mean either of two things. One is, Deommodore Lenoir has this bizarre superstition that he thinks has helped him become a better player. Add to that, he is so used to the sound now that it feels as if he does not hear it anymore.
On the contrary, it could be just being a lazy self. Someone who is not even bothered to fix that noise. He could have even called a professional to get that fixed if he had already tried everything he could.
Deommodore Lenoir has developed into a starter for 49ers
The superstition aside, Deommodore Lenoir has established himself as a starter for the elite 49ers defense. It could be said that his contributions alongside All-Pro corner Charvarius Ward helped the San Francisco 49ers reach the Super Bowl last season. However, all that did not happen in one day.
There was a reason he was selected in the 5th round. Standing at just 5′ 10″, he is not the prototypical cornerback most head coaches in the league look for. However, that probably spurred him on to prove them wrong. He worked hard enough to earn a couple of starts in his rookie season. Then in his second season, he carried that momentum to start 13 games.
Then, his performances in the 2023 playoffs ensured that he became a full-time starter. After last season’s Super Bowl loss, he will be even more determined to be better. For that matter, maybe even continue to ignore the constant beeping of his smoke detector.
