With Survivor Series: WarGames in the rearview mirror, the road to Saturday Night’s Main Event has officially begun. Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw will emanate from the Angels of the Winds Arena in Everett, WA. Without a doubt, this could be one of the most emotional shows in recent times owing to The New Day‘s ten-year anniversary celebration.

Along with that, Raw GM Adam Pearce has announced multiple matches for the show. The Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament kickstarts with triple-threat action set to take place. Furthermore, Damage CTRL will take on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in a tag team match.

After weeks of hilarious backstage segments, Pete Dunne finally has the chance to get his hands on R-Truth. In addition to that, CM Punk will appear on Raw for the first time in almost two months as he kicks off the show. Needless to say, this promises to be a blockbuster episode. As such, here are five shocking things that could happen on the show:

Seth Rollins confronts CM Punk about his decision to team with Roman Reigns

During the build to the Bloodline WarGames match, Seth Rollins denied the opportunity to team with Roman Reigns multiple times. Rollins claimed that he did not want to help Reigns regain his position at the top. Although The Visionary refused the offer, CM Punk gladly accepted it, albeit for different reasons

Considering the animosity between Rollins and Punk, it wouldn’t be surprising if the former ends up confronting The Second City Saint on Raw. In fact, this would help ignite their already heated rivalry. The pair is expected to go one-on-one at next year’s WrestleMania. Moreover, Rollins could further instigate his issues with Reigns, paving the way for an eventual rivalry with his former Shield teammate.

Katana Chance pulls off massive upset in first round Intercontinental Title tournament

The first match of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament will be a triple threat involving Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai, and Katana Chance. Baszler and Kai are among the favorites to win the tournament and become the inaugural champion. However, WWE could pull off a swerve by having Chance advance in the tournament.

Kai and Baszler’s respective factions, Damage CTRL and PFC, might get involved during the match. The stables feuded during the summer, which could play a key factor in deciding the winner. Amidst the chaos, Chance might take advantage and emerge victorious in the triple threat. Meanwhile, the two groups’ rivalry can continue to affect the remainder of the tournament during the other members’ matches.

Drew McIntyre returns to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship

Since losing to CM Punk at Bad Blood, Drew McIntyre has been on hiatus from WWE programming. McIntyre had flown home to spend time with his family, receiving a well-deserved break for his work in the past year. Recently, PWInsider reported that conversations regarding McIntyre’s future creative were in the works, signaling that he could return soon.

With the Raw debut on Netflix closing in, WWE will look to bloat its roster as much as it can. Hence, McIntyre could return on tonight’s episode and confront his next target straightaway. Considering that his previous title matches were ruined by Punk, The Scottish Warrior might challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship and set his sights on becoming a four-time world champion.

The Judgment Day brutalizes Damian Priest; sends him to hospital

At Survivor Series, Finn Balor once again screwed Damian Priest out of a World Heavyweight Title win. As such, The Judgment Day has reignited its rivalry with Priest. After the PLE went off the air, Balor and company brutally attacked Priest in the parking lot. Raw GM Adam Pearce rushed in to separate both sides as he called for medical assistance.

Although Priest’s status is unknown, he will most likely appear on tonight’s episode of Raw. However, the confrontation between both sides could lead to another vicious assault on The Archer of Infamy. The Judgment Day might send a bold message to their former member by annihilating him. Moreover, WWE might write Priest off television and delay the inevitable rematch between Balor and Priest.

Big E shocks the WWE Universe during The New Day’s celebration

The most anticipated segment of tonight’s WWE Raw episode is undoubtedly The New Day’s 10-year anniversary celebration. Tensions are running high between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, especially after last week’s argument. Amid the ongoing drama, fans are speculating that this might lead to Big E returning to live television.

Although he is expected to fix things within his faction, Big E could drop a shocking bombshell. The former WWE Champion might announce his official retirement from in-ring competition. Almost three years ago, Big E suffered a neck injury, which has since sidelined him from action. Despite providing constant updates to fans, there has been nothing positive regarding his status and return to wrestling.
