Some of the biggest personalities, celebrities, and retired athletes the globe has ever seen came to watch the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers play in the Eastern Conference finals. Namely, some of them were Knicks fans, Ben Stiller, Spike Lee, and Timothee Chalamet. However, there was one neutral among them in attendance, world-famous rapper 50 Cent.
Even though the Pacers defeated the Knicks 130-121 in Game 4 and now have a commanding 3-1 series lead, there was a moment during the pregame celebrations that had everyone talking. 50 Cent, a well-known and outspoken critic of P Diddy, made a contentious remark during Game 4 of the Pacers vs. Knicks that was directed specifically at the rapper who is currently behind bars.
Before the game, 50 Cent posted a photo of himself in which his T-shirt was digitally altered with the words: “FREE DIDDY” on his own Instagram account (@50cent). This post quickly went viral among the NBA community, becoming one of the main topics of discussion ahead of an important matchup for the Pacers and the Knicks.
To be clear, Cent did not wear the t-shirt with those words. The t-shirt originally had a different graphic. The rapper just edited the words on his t-shirt, sending the fans into a frenzy and also leaving a few confused. It was just Cent’s way of trolling Diddy via his socials. Something that he has been doing for years.
While it looked like Cent was showing support for Diddy with the t-shirt he wore, it was the other way around. Cent has always trolled his naysayers and rivals in some unique way, and his recent trolling of Diddy was a clear example of it.
For Cent, he witnessed one of the best matches in this playoff series, with the Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton going all-out attack for his side. In addition, he even set a playoff record. Haliburton created history as he became the first player in NBA playoffs to score 30+ points with 0 turnovers.
Pacers HC Rick Carlisle had immense praise for Tyrese Haliburton’s Game 4 performance
Tyrese Haliburton was excellent from the very first tip on Tuesday night. Without making a single turnover, he recorded a remarkable triple-double with 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds. Since turnovers were first recorded in 1977–78, Haliburton became the only player in postseason history to record at least 30 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds without committing a turnover.
It was quite clear that a performance like this would garner reactions and praise from the NBA world. Notably, Pacers’ HC Rick Carlisle also hopped on the Haliburton praise bandwagon. He had huge words for his star after the game.
Tyrese is a great player. I think people realize that. He happens to do some really impressive statistical things. But he’s well aware that all of this far transcends statistics…. To not have any turnovers, in any of those situations too, is pretty remarkable. But this has become his thing. There will be a new statistical category, perhaps named after him, somewhere down the line.

Not only that, on the same night that Haliburton performed, his father, John, returned to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the first time since the first round. He didn’t show up for the last eight postseason games due to his on-court altercation with the Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, during the regular season.
Tyrese Haliburton opened up on his monumental Game 4 performance
With each season, the Pacers’ star, Tyrese Haliburton, has grown in confidence, with his performance speaking for himself. Haliburton has proved to be one of the main players on the Pacers’ roster for his head coach, Rick Carlisle. His recent showing in Game 4 is a clear demonstration of his potential in the NBA.
Notably, Haliburton opened up on his historic performance after the game.
I was just trying to be aggressive. Just trying to play my best. I felt like I let the team down in Game 3. I could have been so much better. I felt like I responded the right way today.

These statements come after a poor showing in the previous Game 3 by the Pacers’ star. One thing the fans should be proud of: Haliburton’s maturity to take ownership of himself in losing situations. He has a high ceiling above him, and the fans are witnessing it this season.
