57-year-old Mike Tyson says Jake Paul’s life is on the line for Netflix fight

Mike Tyson is set to fight Jake Paul in the first ever live Netflix boxing event on July 20. The venue for the fight is AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It is expected that thousands of people will witness the fight live and from home. This is mainly because the legendary champion will be fighting a professional fight after retiring in 2005. Furthermore, the 57-year-old issued a stark warning to his opponent during the recent press conference.
Many concerns have been raised about whether or not Tyson should be fighting a 27-year-old at his age. However, Iron Mike dismissed this and firmly believes that he is up for the challenge. This confidence has been reflected in his training videos and his comments during media appearances. Similarly, during the recent press conference, he stated that Paul will have to fight like his life is in danger.

During their press conference, host Ariel Helwani asked Tyson if he intended to finish Paul. Tyson responded by mentioning that he does not dislike Paul, and he has previously spoken about the positive impact he has had on the sport.
However, all of that will change inside the ring since he will have to fend for his life against the former champion. This warning reflected how Tyson is taking the upcoming fight very seriously and intends to give it his all.
Lennox Lewis’s opinion on the fight
Lennox Lewis, the last undisputed heavyweight champion and Tyson’s rival, weighed in his opinion on the fight. Since they have shared the ring before, he has a great understanding of his prowess inside the ring. Furthermore, he stated that Tyson is an opponent that you should try to maintain your distance with.
This is mainly because of his infamous punching power, which can knock someone out cold. Hence, the former champion believes that Tyson is also in incredible shape, which can be seen in his training videos.
Furthermore, Lewis stated that Mike Tyson is doing something he is used to, so his age does not matter. As such, he believes that Tyson can still throw a punch and take a punch even at the age of 58. Hence, Tyson’s rival firmly believes that he will emerge victorious.
