Spanish news outlet Fichajes has reported that Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku has been offered to Barcelona in the ongoing winter transfer window. It is a no-brainer that Barcelona need a new force on the left wing. However, it is unlikely that this move will go through. 

Recently, many high-profile left-wingers have been linked to Barcelona in this transfer window, with Doku the latest name on the list. The player could have been a very good option for Hansi Flick on loan till the end of the season. Although the club has returned to the 1:1 rule, it is still not clear whether Barca can even accommodate Doku’s wages.

Moreover, Doku’s entourage has clearly stated that he has not been offered to the Catalan club, as Pep Guardiola still considers the player an important part of his project despite the arrival of Omar Marmoush. Doku has scored six goals in 22 matches across competitions so far this season and has not been quite in form. However, City are still not considering letting him leave in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Barcelona, meanwhile, were linked to Nico Williams in the last transfer window. However, they failed to get him in the end. They have a scarcity of natural left-wingers, as Ansu Fati is not being considered for the first team. So, for now, it seems like Doku will not be moving to the Catalan club.
