The ferocity of consensus boxing heavyweight icon Mike Tyson was one to behold. Correction – still one to behold. The boxing legend is arguably one of the most dangerous boxers of all time after becoming heavyweight champion at the age of just 20. NFL legend Lawrence Taylor remembers a time when everyone dreaded him.
The legendary NFL New York Giants linebacker, an All-American, and a 13-season fame, Lawrence Taylor himself is a giant in sports. He and Mike Tyson have had many viral snippets over the 80s and 90s. From their rare moment hanging with Keith Hernandez after a Giants win in 87. To facing a gag punch from Taylor as actor Taimak of “The Last Dragon” looked on. Lawrence Taylor considers him a friend but is always careful.
You gotta be careful around Mike, you know, …No Mike is…Mike's a good guy. Hey listen…he's a great guy. Love him to death and we have a great relationship. But, you may say the wrong thing, …and you don't even know it! And then all of a sudden, yo a** in is trouble!Lawrence Taylor for ‘All the Smoke’ Productions (@allthesmokeprod) with Matt Barnes & Stephen Jackson
The 65-year-old shared memories of coaching greats Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells. He was also on hand to share about NFL encounters with Michael Jordan. But when it came to ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, one had to be on guard. Lawrence Taylor admitted to ‘All the Smoke’ Productions co-hosts Matt Barnes & Stephen Jackson that one wrong word and the beast would come out. Despite the mellow sphere of things, this was apparent recently.
Tyson (50-6, 44 career KOs) last fought against Kevin McBride in 2005 and retired. Even though he keeps to light pad work and falls prey to modern trends, the old Tyson is never far off. The one tarred by controversy because he bit Evander Holyfield’s ear off—the one who would have a police escort. Tyson is looking to return to that legacy one last time; if he does, it’d be a comeback for ages.
Mike Tyson has another faceoff, before November return
HW icon and “Baddest Man on the Planet” Tyson meets Jake Paul soon. Mike Tyson was to fight the influencer-boxer months back. But he had to postpone the fight due to a sudden ulcer flare and regressing state. Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), who are staging the fight with Netflix, said both fighters wanted to ensure they trained equally before meeting in the ring.

Despite his health, Tyson is eagle-eyed for one last dance. He even requested the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations that the bout be a pro-sanction. New rules state the fight will be contested over eight two-minute rounds, like women’s boxing or bare-knuckle. However, the boxing legend aims to unleash his old “ruthless” self to prove naysayers wrong.
For which, Tyson is setting off charged faceoffs. They staged a ginormous one at the recent Fanatics Fest in New York last month. Now, the duo took the fight to the AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys call home.
Cowboys hosted the New Orleans Saints in NFL Week 2, with legend Tom Brady commentating; Tyson even went viral meeting him. At a later frame, they took Paul and Tyson to AT&T, where the fight happens on 15th November. They squared off on the field and even got to meet Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Jones lauded the younger Paul brother for his high marketing skills and moving focus to mainstream boxing. As such, the fight is gaining more and more indulgence despite some initial bumps and doubts due to age. Tyson feels ready and eager to go back to his old self. Come November, it remains to be seen if ‘Problem Child’ can bend ‘Iron’.
