As per reports, Mason Greenwood recently met privately with his Manchester United teammates following the dismissal of his charges. Earlier, Greenwood was accused of rape attempt, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault causing serious bodily damage to his ex-girlfriend, Harriet Robson. However, all his charges were dropped by the local police two weeks ago.

According to The Sun, Mason Greenwood met his Manchester United teammate and other people he’s known since his academy days. A source stated,“He’s reached out to some of the United players, some of them he’s known since his academy days. They’ve met up with him privately to hear him out so they can make up their minds. There is a level of sympathy for someone innocent in the eyes of the law and a long-standing team-mate. But the players are absolutely focused on keeping this juggernaut on the road.”

Reports also claimed that the players gathered to ‘hear him out.’ He is unable to practice or play for his club. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed on February 2nd that the charges had been withdrawn because “key witnesses” withdrew their involvement, although Manchester United is still conducting an internal inquiry. However, there is still some uncertainty about his return to the team. Greenwood had the world at his feet after making his senior debut in 2019 and raising many eyebrows with his performance.

On Sunday, they play Leicester City in the Premier League. The Europa League matchup between Manchester United and FC Barcelona at Old Trafford will be their primary focus after they drew 2-2 away against the Culers at Camp Nou last week.
