“I want to fight for the belt, in turn, need to beat somebody first,” says Justin Gaethje

Justin Gaethje is the number 1 ranked fighter in the UFC Lightweight division and he is just coming from a loss against the UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The lightweight division is having two major fights between Tony Ferguson vs. Charles Oliveira and Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier.
‘The Highlight’ knows that he needs to come back in the win column before going again for the title shot. Gaethje already defeated Tony Ferguson and now he wants to fight the winner of Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 2. In his recent interview with The Schmo, he said, “I’m number one so of course I want to fight for that f**king belt, that’s why I’m here”
“Poirier and McGregor are fighting soon so I want to fight the winner of that. I wholeheartedly believe you should be coming off a win to fight for a belt. So my job now is to get a win.”
“I want to fight for the belt and if it is the winner of that fight then I would, in turn, need to beat somebody first, “But, I’ll definitely just fight the winner for the belt, I’m down with that, too.”
Justin Gaethje is determined to come back stronger

‘The Highlight’ admits that it was heartbreaking to lose the fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov but at the same time he feels honored to fight one of the greatest Lightweight fighters of all time. But now Gaethje is training to bounce back even harder.
Gaethje says, “It’s a fun ride and it’s not over yet, t’s not over until we go crashing down. I’m having fun. Tough break last fight. It was an honor to fight against Khabib, it was f**king heartbreaking to lose, but I’ve been here before and I came back strong and I’ll continue to do the same thing.”
Although rumors are also there that the promotion is planning to book a flight between Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler next but ‘The Highlight’ is focused to fight the winner of Conor vs. Dustin only.
