“We talked basketball” Stephen Silas after James Harden returns to practice

Houston Rockets’ Head Coach Stephen Silas reveals what he spoke with James Harden as the latter returns for practice with the franchise. Harden has stated his intentions of being traded away to another franchise. After missing consecutive practice sessions and partying with Lil Baby, Harden was not part of the Rocket’s side in the first two pre-season games.
Stephen Silas revealed that he spoke to James Harden about basketball strategies and not him being traded away. That being a different case altogether. Silas was persistent on Harden playing the next pre-season game against San Antonio Spurs. Silas seems to have given Eric Gordon and John Wall their desired role as both dazzled on the court in their pre-season games leading from the front.
Stephen Silas has ‘good conversation’ with James Harden
“You can ask him about his commitment and all that sort of thing,” said Silas, who has not been in regular communication with Harden, saying recently that he had given the face of the franchise “space” as he pondered his future. “But we had a good conversation. He was locked in, was asking good questions. He was bringing up good points. We had a good discussion.”
“We talked basketball,” Silas said. “I’m a basketball coach, and he’s a basketball player. We talked hoop today. As far as his commitment to what we’re doing basketball-wise, he was right there. As far as the rumors and all the other stuff I can’t speak to, again, that’s another question you’ll have to ask of him.”
Now whether or not Silas will be able to coach Harden in the upcoming 2020-21 season is a different scenario. But with Harden playing in the pre-season games it will surely uplift the morale of his fans. Who are dying to see him after the rest of the NBA stars being back in action for their franchises.
