Jordan got to playoff, lost, got hurt, was disappointed: Giannis Antetokounmpo explaining his playoff struggle

Giannis Antetokounmpo compares his playoff struggle with that of Michael Jordan. Milwaukee Bucks have been the best team in the regular season for consecutively 2 seasons in a row now. But have lost to Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat in respective seasons in the playoffs devastatingly. No doubt Giannis has been impressive winning the MVP awards in both those seasons. But he is yet to deliver the ultimate for the Bucks.
It is not Giannis who has been the problem, rather the Milwaukee team who has not been able to support him well enough in pressure situations. Having said, Giannis looks all set to make another attempt with the Bucks to make them win an NBA ring in the upcoming 2020-21 season. He recently in an interview compared his playoff struggle with that of Michael Jordan.
“We’re working everyday” Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis said, “One of the greatest players: Michael Jordan, his team got to the playoffs, and he got hurt, he got eliminated; he was disappointed. He went through the struggles. It’s going to take time. We’re working every day. To win a championship, that’s the goal. I think we’re doing the right things, creating the right habits, and working towards that goal.”
Jordan won his first ring at 27. But Giannis, who turned 26 just this month, has been criticized heavily for being unable to win the title. There is no doubt that the Bucks underperformed in the playoffs, but to blame it all on Giannis is unfair.
The Bucks have added Jrue Holiday to their side in place of Bledsoe in the hopes of him playing the ultimate supporting role to Giannis and Middleton.
It caught many by surprise that he wanted to stay in Milwaukee despite these performances. But now that he has made up his mind, he will be very motivated to take his team to the promised land.
