Dre’Mont Jones was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the year 2019. The Ohio State DE had an impressive collegiate career and wanted to replicate the same at the Broncos.

Surprisingly, Jones was one of the few sparks in Denver that actually burned bright. The Broncos are going through a tough phase for the past few years and have taken extreme measures to change that.

Although Jones completed his dream of playing in the NFL. The 26-year-old Jones believes he was missing something which he later found in his new team.

The Seattle Seahawks DE believes that he was not respected well in Denver and was not appreciated enough for his capabilities. Due to this, Jones was unsettled in Denver and decided to test the waters in free agency. The DE was extremely surprised to find out about the interest from the Seahawks who jumped at the opportunity to sign him.

“Almost out of nowhere … Seattle came in hot,” Dre’Mont Jones told The News Tribune last week. “That kind of motivated me to come here more and more.”

Jones later signed a massive 3-year deal with the Seahawks worth up to $51 million. The young DE is looking forward to shine at Seattle, a place where he will probably get respect.

Dre’mont Jones is a talented DE who was bound to get attention when he tested the free agency waters. However, he was extremely surprised when the Seahawks jumped at the opportunity to sign him.

This happened due to their renewed interest in the DE. When Russell Wilson was traded to the Broncos last season. The Seahawks wanted Jones as part of the trade. However, the Broncos weren’t willing to part ways with him.

Jones feels that the Broncos should have traded him from the start and shouldn’t have waited until now. He also spoke about the lack of respect in the organization.

“I mean, s—, they should have just traded me from the jump,” Jones said. “I was included in the (Wilson) trade. Denver said no. And then, Denver kind of … I don’t want to say that word — but Denver didn’t pay me my proper respects.”

Dre’Mont Jones now has the deal that he wanted and it is safe to assume that the DE will shine even more at the Seahawks, a place where he will get respected for his efforts and outcome.
