Aaron Rodgers trade to the New York Jets has taken the NFL world by storm. The veteran QB was strongly speculated to move to New York and the trade has finally come to fruition.

This trade has the potential to go down as the biggest trade in NFL history. The Jets parted ways with 3 draft picks to acquire Rodgers and a conditional 4th draft pick as well.

As Rodgers starts his new life in New York, many have given their assessment on the future of Jordan Love. Love was drafted 26th overall by the Packers and has been deemed as a successor to the great QB.

Former NFL CB Richard Sherman was highly sceptical of Love becoming the starter in Green Bay and believes that the team will be sailing in mediocrity.

“First off, I don’t think Jordan Love is the quarterback of the future Green Bay. You had a great quarterback for 30 years. Good job,” Richard Sherman stated on his podcast. “Welcome to mediocrity. That is where you will be for the next however long y’all think Jordan Love because I’ve heard that it’s pissed me off for a long time.”

Sherman doesn’t believe that Jordan Love is the ideal successor to Aaron Rodgers and there are chances that the Packers will fail massively in the coming seasons. However the Packers hierarchy have shown great confidence in his abilities.

Aaron Rodgers had a massive downfall last season where he was scrutinized consistently for his abysmal performances. However, Richard sherman believes that the Packers fans will miss the veteran QB and won’t get near a Super Bowl title under Jordan Love.

“You will not sniff a Super Bowl. My goodness! But it’s such a lack of appreciation. You know, people were like, well, he’s distracted. He just won MVP the year before. Like, leave him alone. I don’t care what he’s doing.’” Sherman stated on his podcast.

Jordan Love has the monstrous task of replacing Rodgers, who is recognized as one of the best QBs NFL has ever produced. Many believe that Love will falter under pressure. However, the Packers management still support their 26th overall draft pick and he will play in his first season as a starter.

On the other hand, Aaron Rodgers starts a new chapter in his marvelous journey so far. The Jets have suddenly turned into title contenders by just his presence.
