“Warner needs to look in the mirror,” Harbhajan Singh minces no words while lambasting David Warner for DC’s flop show

Harbhajan Singh, David Warner
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh minced no words while lambasting Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper David Warner for the team’s below-par performance in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). DC could pull off just two wins out of the eight matches they have played so far and stand last on the points table.
Harbhajan asserted that Warner’s sluggish innings are the reasons why DC end up losing the matches. He cited the example of DC’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) where Warner got out for a duck, to show that DC reached 186 and fell short of nine runs was due to Warner’s zero contribution.
“I don’t think they can make a comeback, and the entire reason for that is captain. He didn’t lead the side well, and then his form was an issue. It has been very disappointing. Warner was dismissed earlier today (vs SRH), which is why Delhi came so close. If he had played 50 balls, that would’ve been 50 balls wasted and DC would’ve lost by 50 runs,” Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel.
Harbhajan then pointed out that when Warner comes to the presentation, he talks about other players’ mistakes whereas he has contributed nothing. “His 300 runs are no use to DC. Warner needs to look in the mirror if he wants to find a reason for DC being at the bottom,” Harbhajan added.
