Goldberg will be facing Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble. The WWE Hall of Famer returned at Raw Legends Night to challenge McIntyre for the title. But his return has not thrilled WWE legend Booker T.

Booker T believes that Goldberg is now pushing it. Pro-wrestling is a young man’s game. T feels that after a point the Superstar should quit and not “push it”. He even mentioned that he feels that McIntyre will be retaining the title.

The 5-time WCW World Champion feels that McIntyre has now become a top star for WWE. Plus, it might have been a mistake on Goldberg’s part to challenge him. Booker T appeared on WWE’s The Bump where he discussed the importance of young stars to make a mark on WWE.

“You know, Goldberg is pushing it, man. Everybody loves the nostalgia, but this is a young man’s game. Drew McIntyre, he’s my guy. I said before that Drew McIntyre is going to be the champion in this business.”

Booker T had nothing but appreciation for the current WWE Champion. He feels that the Scottish Psychopath has evolved a wrestler.

“And now, you go back to when he first came in to where and how he looks now. He’s a grown man now. He came in as a kid. Goldberg could be barking up the wrong tree. I’m not going for the old guy…I’d put my money on Drew McIntyre. It’s going to be quick.”

Drew McIntyre has been one of the biggest stars on WWE during this pandemic phase. He won the Championship at Wrestlemania 36. He lost it for a couple of weeks to Randy Orton, but retained it soon. The WWE Universe has been vocal against seeing Goldberg as the Champion.

Royal Rumble airs live on 31st January, 2021.
