After retiring from the NFL, J. J. Watt is all set to join CBS Sports as a studio analyst. The superstar defensive end signed a multi-year contract with the media giant similar to Tom Brady who signed a 10-year $375 million with Fox. The exact details of Watt’s contract are yet to be released.
The former Houston Texans announced his brand new venture in a video he posted on his social media accounts. He said, “I love the game too much to be away from it entirely. I’m very excited to be joining CBS Sports to contribute across all their NFL shows and platforms, including working alongside and learning from JB, Coach, Boomer, Phil and Nate this fall. Hopefully fans will enjoy the insights and knowledge I’ve gained over my 12 years in the NFL and if we’re lucky, we’ll share a few laughs along the way as well.”
J. J. Watt hung up his cleats after the 2022 season, marking an end to his 12-year illustrious career in the league. He was one of the defensive players on the gridiron and was feared by everyone in the league. His ability to change the game with his defensive plays will forever remain unmatched. Watt is often regarded as one of the greatest defensive linemen in NFL history. The 34-year-old is going to be inducted into the Texans’ Ring of Honor this year.

Will J. J. Watt be inducted into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility?

Watt was selected by the Houston Texans 11th overall in the 2011 NFL draft. He played with the team for a decade before moving on to the Arizona Cardinals, where he played his final two seasons before calling it a career.
Watt has won a lot of awards and has even more records to his name. He has won 3x Defensive Player of the Year, 5x Pro Bowl selections, 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year, 2× NFL sacks leader, and was named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team.
In his legendary career, Watt had 586 combined tackles, 114.5 sacks, 17 fumble recoveries and 2 interceptions. There is no doubt that he will be a First-Ballot Hall of Famer and will take his rightful place in Canton, Ohio.
