The Cleveland Browns edged out the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-10 in a crucial AFC North tie, which ended with a Mike Ford banter. After the game, the Browns cornerback went to celebrate with the fans, but not with the esteemed Dawgpound crew.
Ford ran towards the section where the traveling Pittsburgh fans had gathered. He had a couple of towels with him. One of them was yellow, which is part of the Steelers jersey. He gave the other one to one of the fans and slapped the yellow one to the ground.
Few might question that’s nothing much. It happens all the time. Well, it’s what happened shortly after which has the internet buzzing. Ford picked up the yellow towel from the ground and proceeded to make a gesture that could only be designated as ‘wiping his b*tt.’
It’s peak disrespect to a rival, but at this point, the Steelers are probably used to it. This isn’t the first time, as previously, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence mocked the entire fanbase. Before their Week 7 game, Lawrence, in a press conference, praised the Steelers franchise and their history.
You always know what kind of team Pittsburgh is going to have each year—physical, great defense, and their offense is playing really well.
However, he finished it with “I know the little yellow towels,” which sent the entire fanbase into a frenzy. Well, their team failed to take revenge in that game, as the Jags went back to Florida with a 10-20 victory.
The Pittsburgh Steelers fall short once again
It’s a mystery how Mike Tomlin‘s side consistently underperforms and manages to get a win. According to Yahoo stats, before facing the Browns, the Steelers were 30th in passing yards, 20th in using their legs, and 30th in total yards per game. And yet they still have six wins out of 10 and sit third only behind the Houston Texans for a place in the Wild Cards.

Quarterback Kenny Pickett ranks only next to Jets Zach Wilson in terms of throwing the lowest number of touchdowns (6 and Wilson 5) in the 2023 season. Not only that, he is also in the bottom 10% of passing yard completions, with just 1722 from 170. Pickett has a quarterback rating of 35.8.
The Steelers win patches. They lose the game and then win two back-to-back games and have yet to cross the 25-point mark. Next, they will face another direct rival, the Cincinnati Bengals. After that, there are a few winnable games between the Cardinals and the Patriots. But whether they actually come out victorious in those games is anybody’s guess at this point.
