The Los Angeles Lakers faced off against their top rivals the Golden State Warriors on the home court at the Crypto.com Arena. With the NBA’s biggest stars LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, and Jimmy Butler featuring against each other, all eyes were on this game. However, Doncic in particular failed to live up to expectations.
Despite not impressing, he made sure to give the NBA community a viral moment during the second quarter of the game. This was when the Lakers were trailing by 8 points. Notably, Doncic was spotted trash-talking a Warriors player under the post. The moment quickly went viral. In around one hour, the post has garnered 287.5k views and 5.7k likes already.
I know your a** ain’t talking… you’re p*ssy
Luka Doncic said
Doncic did make these bold remarks, but his performance was not up to the mark by his standards as well. LeBron James was the only member of the Lakers Big Three to truly step up during the game, finishing with 33 points, five rebounds, and nine assists. Doncic finished the game with 19 points on 6-16 shooting after having trouble shooting the entire game.

Fans were quick to notice Doncic’s poor shooting performance and called him out on social media. Overall, the Lakers lacked offense against the Warriors. On the other hand, the star of the first half was Brandin Podziemski, a second-year guard for the Warriors.
Podziemski led the Warriors to a 13-point advantage at the half after scoring a game-high 22 points on 8 of 11 field goals and six 3-pointers in the first two quarters.
Fans troll Luka Doncic for trash-talking Warriors player despite poor performance against the Dubs
Going into this game, Lakers star Luka Doncic was deemed crucial, especially in offense. However, Warriors’ star defender Draymond Green had a good hold of him throughout the first half. The Lakers’ options were restricted to, at most, exchanging baskets with the Warriors. The first half ended without much seriousness.
In addition, many fans took to various social media apps and sites to throw shade at Luka Doncic’s performance in particular. One fan wrote on X, “Talking shit when he’s 1 for 80 from the field. Impressive.” Check out some of the reactions below:

The Lakers fans were expecting a better performance by the Lakers’ current big 3 after their match-winning performances against the Memphis Grizzlies a few days ago. However, they succumbed under pressure to a strong Warriors side who are 5th in the Western Conference. Now, Doncic and Co. will have to get back on track to secure a top 3 seed finish before the end of the regular season.

Not only that, Curry also made headlines for an impressive highlight on the Slovenian star that got a lot of views on social media.
