Stephen Curry won’t let Charles Barkley pass slick comments on $121M teammate Jimmy Butler
Warriors star Stephen Curry quickly came in support of his teammate Jimmy Butler after Charles Barkley's subtle jibe towards him.

Jimmy Butler, Charles Barkley and Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry‘s greatness took center stage at the Toyota Center when the Golden State Warriors played against the Houston Rockets on Sunday. Curry was everywhere on the court, just like his prime 2016-17 days. In addition, Curry received immense support from his teammate and star Jimmy Butler in his side’s 85-95 win over the Rockets in Game 1 of the NBA first-round Playoff series.
Notably, after this win, the Warriors joined NBA Hall of Famer and analyst Charles Barkley to complete his media duties by having a chat with him. Barkley immediately started undermining Butler’s greatness by comparing him to Curry after his monumental performance against the Rockets. However, Curry stood up for Butler and did not let Barkley pass slick comments.
Jimmy’s nice. Don’t get that twisted (with a straight face).
Steph Curry told Charles Barkley
Curry’s reaction towards Barkley’s comments suggested that he was in no mood for jokes. This also showcases the unity and chemistry between Butler and Curry. Butler, who joined the Warriors during the February trade deadline. So far, he has taken no time to settle in. Butler dropped 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists on the Rockets, determining his significance to the side.

However, it was Curry’s greatness all night long, as Barkley stated. The Warriors star dropped a whopping 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in Game 1 against the Rockets. However, the Rockets won’t let this win slide easily; they will surely be looking to bounce back in Game 2.
The Rockets finished No.2 seed in the Western Conference, led by HC Ime Udoka and stars like Dillon Brooks, Amen Thompson, and Alperen Sengun. Going into Game 2 at the Toyota Center, Brooks and Co. will have to figure out a way to silence Curry, if they can.
Stephen Curry silences Charles Barkley’s doubts regarding his performance against the Rockets
Charles Barkley was one of the first to doubt the Golden State Warriors’ potential. However, after their decisive Game 1 victory against the Houston Rockets in the NBA Playoffs, Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and the squad sent a strong message. As for Barkley’s doubts, he was unsure whether or not Curry has what it takes to deliver for his side.
The energy level that Steph is gonna have to put forward… I don’t know if he can sustain it for 7 games

Curry put all those doubts and questions to bed on Sunday with an all-timer performance and breathtaking shooting. Curry is still one of the NBA’s best players at 37. The Bay Area team has established itself as one of the best in the league since Jimmy Butler came. Now, they look to go all the way to capture the 2025 NBA title.
Stephen Curry’s geometrically impossible shot left NBA commentators in disbelief
Another day, another Stephen Curry masterclass for the Warriors in the NBA Playoffs. Notably, Curry made a stunning, ‘geometrically impossible‘ three-pointer with the Rockets’ Jalen Green in his face. This happened as the shot clock ran out, giving the Warriors a 20-point lead against the Rockets in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
In addition to increasing their advantage to 23, the shot led to this amusing call from Kevin Harlan, the TNT play-by-play commentator.
OH MY GOODNESS! Geometrically, that should not have happened! Wow! What a shot!

The Warriors star finished the regular season shooting 44.8% from the field, averaging 24.5 points, and dishing out six assists. However, Curry tends to take his game to a whole new level when the NBA Playoffs begin. On Sunday, he did just that. With a performance like this, the Rockets will have to be on their toes to contain Curry throughout this ongoing series.
