This year’s International Fight Week showcase will undoubtedly be a big one. Many top crops are on the rumor mill for it already. The second coming of a KO artist in the lightweight ranks called for a surefire PPV title super fight. The UFC heavyweight logjam called for another. Yet, CEO Dana White rode the fun train to announce the UFC Atlanta event headliner recently!

IFW festivities drop in hot on June 26, with the ceremonial UFC X fan experience and Hall of Fame inductions. UFC 317 PPV card at the holy Sin City grounds is what would cap it off. Islam Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuria and Jon Jones finally agreeing to heavyweight title unification vs. Tom Aspinall remains the most obvious ones. However, Dana White had other plans for UFC’s return to “A-Town” instead.

Um, anyway, Saturday, June 14th, UFC, uh, …is coming to the State Farm arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The main event is going to be Kamaru Usman and Buckley…Obviously Usman, ranked number four former welterweight champion, one of the best to ever do it…He’s returning to face the most explicit, explosive guy in the division…Mhm…All right, uh, let me see. Do I have another one to announce here? Um, no, I don’t. So stay tuned. Uh, I’ll see you guys soon. I’ll see you tomorrow night at the fights. Have a great day.

After some tight banter, Joaquin Buckley drew a former champ and pound-for-pound topper for UFC Atlanta. Buckley now faces Kamaru Usman at the Atlanta event headliner, June 14, in the State Farm Arena. ‘New Mansa’, turning 31 by this weekend, has turned in 6-0 in victories over top names like veteran Stephen Thompson, Vicente Luque, and Nursulton Ruziboev

Buckley last halted Colby Covington by TKO in the UFC on ESPN 63 event headliner in December. He has been asking for a Usman grade test for a while now, with Nigerian Nightmare sharpening for his return. With UFC Atlanta in the books, White also announced UFC’s step into Baku, Azerbaijan.

The UFC Baku card features Khalil Rountree vs. Jamahal Hill in the main event. The UFC boss finally trolled away, saying he does not have any more fight news…Or does he? Consequently, the trolls went on after that as well.

UFC 317 Super fight news on the horizon? Dana White waves off fans with ‘Bull’ S—t news

Did someone say bull? Dana White and his love for pro bullfighting/PBR/ABBI Back Seat Buckers are well documented (R.I.P. ‘Twisted Steel’, who caught the attention of many). While the combat world awaits news for International Fight Week (UFC 317), White instead veers to snippets about bulls.

In a series of days, Kansas City will play host to the first TKO Takeover. The UFC hosts a Fight Night event on the weekend, followed by WWE RAW. But the real TKO action shot off on Thursday at the T-Mobile Center. A Professional Bull Riders event preceded the Octagon action. With fans clamoring for UFC 317 news, Dana White instead trolled on about his new competitive stock.

LMFAO!!!!! I’m NEVER announcing it. How handsome is that BULL!?!? SAY IT

UFC middleweight champ Dricus Du Plessis and his coach, Morne Visser, recently discredited injury rumors. However, the champ has ruled out June 28 at UFC 317 during International Fight Week. Top names like Islam Makhachev, Jon Jones, and others are already in the crosshairs for such an International Fight Week showcase.

Topuria recently rung some bells, with news of starting a camp. The consensus news is that Makhachev would vacate the 155-pound gold if he does not face Topuria. The Spaniard and Charles Oliveira might fight for it. It remains to be seen where the brass goes from here. One thing is for sure: combat fans are growing impatient with impending news of a big event.
