Caitlin Clark plays for the Indiana Fever, which means she is a part of the Indiana Pacers organization. That is why she ends up courtside for many of their games at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. After playing in a preseason game yesterday, her team resumed practice, but then they got together to watch their parent team.

Her head coach, Stephanie White, has asked them to watch Pacers playoff games to learn more about battling in the postseason. Last season, their inexperience in the latter stages of the season saw them fold against White’s Connecticut Sun.

This season, the franchise set forth to fix that and signed experienced and championship-winning veterans to mix with the core of Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, and Lexie Hull. The restructured roster has been playing well, winning all three preseason games so far.

With time on hand, Clark and Boston made it to Game 4 earlier today. They saw firsthand how their team beat the brakes off the Cavs in the first half. After the game, Clark was on a radio call with Pacers Overtime, where she described how she saw that first half unfold.

It was just one of the nights where you literally could not miss. It was Aaron. It was Myles. It was Pascal. It was just one to the next. And it was just really, really fun to watch. I felt honestly bad for the Cavs at one point, but man, that was some good basketball.

Caitlin Clark said

The Fever superstar’s words reveal how she saw the Indiana Pacers obliterate the Cleveland Cavaliers. She felt bad for the Cavaliers, who once looked like a championship team. But at the same time, she did not mind the result, considering the Pacers are a game away from winning the series.

Caitlin Clark believes it was the best half of basketball she has seen

Caitlin Clark has built a reputation for being an elite performer. She has participated in a lot of great games and has also watched many good basketball games. But the first half of this Game 4 was something else, as she told Pacers Overtime host Eddie White, as quoted by 107.5 The Fan’s Eddie Garrison.

Caitlin Clark to Eddie White called that second quarter the best quarter of basketball she has ever seen. Also added that she’s never played in a game where there were 80 points scored in a half.

Eddie Garrison wrote

The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year saw the Indiana Pacers shoot lights out in the second quarter to blitz the Cleveland Cavaliers 42-16. The 80-39 score at halftime was enough to give Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle the signal to rest his starters.

After Donovan Mitchell left the game, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Cleveland Cavaliers would lose. Clark and her teammates could learn a thing or two from here, as the Pacers returned with a motive and executed their plan brilliantly.

Clark and Fever win against Atlanta Dream to secure preseason sweep

The Indiana Pacers might not sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers after losing Game 3. Caitlin Clark’s close friend and Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton had an abysmal outing in that game. But tonight, he could have come back with a proper showing had he played his usual minutes.

Clark also did not play her usual minutes in the Indiana Fever preseason. She missed the first game with a leg injury. Then in Game 2 at her alma mater, she played just 19 minutes, but scored 16 points, capped by a logo three.

Their final preseason game against the Atlanta Dream was supposed to be the best test for their restructured team. There were times when the Dream looked like they would edge the Fever out. But they held on and won, making it a clean sweep of the preseason.

Clark finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists, a decent run for the point guard in 23 minutes of play. This win should give them an idea of what to improve on before the 2025 WNBA regular season starts.
