Aaron Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP and a former Super Bowl champion, has one of the striking resumes in the game. After the shift from the Green Bay Packers to the East, where he joined the New York Jets two years earlier, Rodgers has accumulated more misery than any substantial addition to his fame.

After the injury-ridden beginning, Rodgers started the last season, and the Green and White once again failed to make the playoffs, extending their playoffs drought to 14 seasons.

Woody Johnson and his gang had no sympathy left for Rodgers and asked him to be terminated in the offseason. As someone who’s in the top rankings of several quarterback stats, to say Rodgers was humiliated off the roster would be saying less.

Nevertheless, some people believe that Rodgers has a comeback written in his fortunes. James Jones, who shared the field with Rodgers at the Packers, shared his two cents on the current stagnant matters of Rodgers. Despite getting the boot two months back, the 41-year-old is yet to join any team. Talking on the FS1’s Facility, Jones noted:

He should be juiced over the way the Jets disrespected him. I’m not even talking about the Packers. The Packers, y’all split ways, that’s all good. We’ll see you again. They’ll probably celebrate him and all that stuff. But this Jets stuff, the way they disrespected him leaving down there.

As per the schedule unveiled by the NFL recently, the Jets are playing the Steelers in the first week. In any case Rodgers joins the Steelers, it opens up an alleyway for him to exact revenge on his former team. Later on, in Week 8, the Steelers are playing the Green Bay Packers as well. With two of his former teams on the opposing side, Rodgers has the best chance in so long to prove himself. And his former compatriot Jones has placed his trust in him.

The New Orleans Saints are also viewed as a potential landing option for Aaron Rodgers

Former NFL wide receiver James Jones has also suggested the New Orleans Saints should pursue Aaron Rodgers following Derek Carr’s recent retirement. Jones, who played with Rodgers for seven seasons in Green Bay, strongly feels that the Saints offer an ideal opportunity for the veteran quarterback.

With Carr’s departure, New Orleans faced a wide-open quarterback situation heading into the next season. Jones argued that Rodgers would instantly become the best quarterback in the NFC South if he joined the Saints.

Apart from Baker Mayfield, there were no credible names in the last season from the division. The Atlanta Falcons had a switch in the middle, while the Carolina Panthers also made mid-season switches twice.

He also highlighted the advantages of playing indoors and competing in a relatively weak division. Rodgers has yet to make a final decision on his NFL future, sparking ongoing speculation.

If Aaron Rodgers walked into the New Orleans building right now, he’s the best quarterback in the division and gives you a chance to win. They absolutely should make the call to Aaron Rodgers and ask, ‘What’s your plan?’ If you come over here, you’re in the dome. The division is weak, and you have a chance.

Apart from the above reasons, if the Pittsburgh Steelers are planning to tank the season as suggested by Ryan Clark and the amount of draft picks in their arsenal, Rodgers doesn’t need that on his worsening image.

Nevertheless, the proofs are strongly leaning towards the Steelers. On Friday, a report by Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan indicated Rodgers might be headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The claim was based on a rumor that Rodgers had joined the Club at Nevillewood, a private golf course near Pittsburgh.

However, Wayne Chiurazzi, president of the Club at Nevillewood, denied the report in a statement to KDKA’s Rich Walsh. Chiurazzi confirmed Rodgers is not currently a member, though the club would welcome him if he signs with the Steelers.
