There is a line for Caitlin Clark merch around the corner at 9am. An hour before the team store opens. 6 hours before tip off. There has never been anybody like Caitlin Clark.

Interestingly, another matchup the WNBA fans are awaiting is the clash between Clark and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese. Both have had huge impacts on the league in their debut season. Clark and Reese have faced off on the court several times since their undergraduate days at LSU and Iowa.
After placing first and second in the Rookie of the Year voting, the two are now starting their second WNBA season, and the similarities between them have only gotten stronger, creating a glaring rift between their respective fan bases.
Since her debut last season, she has gotten a ton of sponsorships, and the WNBA’s TV ratings have increased significantly. Clark broke attendance and viewership records during her time with Iowa and Indiana, which undoubtedly helped to increase the popularity of the WNBA and women’s basketball in general.

Caitlin Clark’s offseason grind has become evident in a viral social media post
One picture was enough to start the craze. A picture of Caitlin Clark applauding from the sidelines during the Big Ten women’s basketball event in Indianapolis in March, her arms flexed and her muscles defined, went viral and generated discussion on social media. Clark has been working behind the scenes in a bid to get physically strong going into her 2nd WNBA season.

It’s safe to say that she has put in the work required for the physicality for the new season. That widely shared photo was proof of Clark’s off-season work, not just a moment of conceit. She was able to devote all of her time and energy to preparing her body for the demands of the WNBA for the first time since the summer of 2023.
