They actually did it. The Colorado Rockies on Tuesday snapped a long losing streak as they won 3-2 against the Miami Marlins. Their win sparked some hilarious reactions from fans on social media.

The year 2025 has been a disastrous one so far for the Rockies. Their poor start to the season has seen several changes take place in the Rockies’ clubhouse, with manager Bud Black being relieved of his duties as well.

The team then recorded the worst 50-game start in the MLB at 8-42. In the past two days, though, there have been some positive results for them.

On Monday, the National League West side clinched a 6-4 win against the Marlins and finally collected their 10th win of the season. Following this win, they thumped the Marlins again, with a 3-2 scoreline this time and claimed their 2nd win on the bounce.

This turned out to be the first series win since 2024. The Denver-based side had been on a 22-series losing streak. Hunter Goodman turned out to be the hero for them as he homered for a third time in two games.

The last time the Rockies won a series was in September last year when they took 2 games out of the 3 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Since then, they had not won a single series and got swept several times.

These back-to-back wins against the Marlins were also just the 2nd time when the team had won 2 games on the bounce. They beat the Atlanta Braves 2-1 on April 30th and then defeated the San Francisco Giants with a 4-3 score the next day.

The Rockies will now try to do something that they have not done for a while. They will enter the field on Wednesday night to try and claim their 3 straight win and sweep their opponents in the process. The Marlins themselves are not having a good time and have lost 3 successive games following the 3-2 loss on Tuesday night.

Rockies and Marlins record low attendance for 3-game series

The Colorado Rockies and the Miami Marlins have both struggled this year. So on Monday, when two of the worst teams in the league locked horns against each other in one of the least popular ballparks, a very low attendance was recorded.

As per reports, the game on Monday night at the loanDepot Park in Miami recorded an attendance of 5,894. With the ballpark having an official capacity of 37,000, this number was way lower than that.

The Marlins are averaging just 11,944 fans at the loanDepot Park and are often ranked in the bottom five of average attendance. Meanwhile, the Rockies, who are having one of the worst seasons of their life, are still averaging around 27,621 fans at Coors Field.
