LeBron James, who many claimed brought in his son Bronny James by utilizing his position as the most powerful person in the Los Angeles Lakers’ building, was at the center of a lot of the NBA conversation prior to the 2024–25 season officially starting. Bronny has come under heavy fire with the James duo being accused of nepotism.
To add salt to the wounds, Fox Sports radio host Rob Parker went all out on this situation. Parker did not hold back in his recent assessment of the father and son duo. He claimed that despite the great Michael Jordan owning an NBA team( the Charlotte Hornets), he never ‘put his 2 sons’ in the organisation. That was quite a remark. He did not stop there.
Michael Jordan owned a damn team, he didnt put his 2 sons on the team, Jerry Jones Owns the Cowboys, he could of put his sons on the team. Its a Disgrace, Anybody whos ever played sports and had to compete for a spot, for a guy to put their kid on it. Its wrong, Only reason people did go off on Lebron is because they dont want the wrath of well Lebron stopped me from doing this or i cant get tickets to the Lakers, like theyre afraid. Bronny proved this year that hes not ready.
Rob Parker said on the Fox Sports Dreamerspro Show
Rob Parker Absolutely DESTROYS Lebron for getting Bronny Drafted 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Parker watched James Jr.’s game intently throughout the season, and it would be an understatement to say he wasn’t impressed. Parker, therefore, wasted no time in launching a full-scale attack on Bronny James and everyone else who raved about the younger James ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season.
It’s also crucial to remember that the Lakers’ young player has not had an easy time, particularly in terms of his health. In his first year at USC, James had a heart attack. As a result, the guard lost five months of activity before his collegiate debut. Nonetheless, he was unable to establish himself. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists while shooting 36% from the field.
James, who is 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 meters) tall, can play both the shooting guard and point guard roles. Despite not being as large as the majority of NBA stars with his skill set, analysts commend him for his shooting and defensive abilities. However, he has yet to prove his abilities on the biggest stage. Only time will tell how Bronny’s future unfolds in the NBA.
Kevin Durant ONCE offered a kind take on Bronny James amidst constant criticism
NBA star Kevin Durant shares a great bond with his rival and countryman LeBron James, despite the two never sharing the court. Notably, the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers played each other in the preseason back in October 2024. Durant was questioned about LeBron’s son (Bronny) before that game. It was the former USC guard’s second NBA game appearance. Durant, however, offered a kind take at the time.
To see him out on the floor with James Jr. on his back with his dad is crazy to see. Hopefully, I get a chance to get on the floor with Bronny tonight. Just compete against him. The whole moment is pretty sweet. There’s gonna be a lot of games throughout the year I’m looking forward to seeing with them.

Bronny played 13 minutes and concluded the game with two rebounds. During his first season as a professional, Bronny played in 18 G League games and 27 NBA games. The 20-year-old shot 31.3% from the field and 28.1% from three-point range while averaging 2.3 points per game with the Lakers. He still needs to put in a lot of work if he is to be at the NBA level.
Bronny James could be given ‘new role’ at the Lakers as per a Western Conference Executive
After struggling throughout the 2024-25 NBA season, there may be some signs of hope for LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, at the Lakers. James seems to have a bright future. According to a Western Conference executive, the Lakers are fully committed to including the 20-year-old Bronny James in their starting lineup for the upcoming campaign.
I don’t think there’s any doubt that’s their plan. I know the guy gets a lot of grief because of who his dad is, but we’ve seen a lot of tape on [Bronny] and the fact is, he was a lot better player in April than he was in October, and definitely in July… He is going to be a regular for them next year.
The Western Conference Executive said
Bronny, the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, showed some genuine promise in his rookie campaign, according to the executive. Lakers coach JJ Redick was also adamant about Bronny’s development and commitment to improving his skills. Now, it remains to be seen how Bronny develops in his second NBA season with the Lakers.
