Tyrese Haliburton has made quite a name for himself ever since the 2025 NBA Playoffs started. He has had some scintillating moments as he led his Indiana Pacers to their second-straight Eastern Conference Finals. Now he is in the NBA Finals after his team ousted the New York Knicks.

His girlfriend, Jade Jones, has been supporting him all throughout his rise to become a legitimate superstar in this league. After her boyfriend threw up the Reggie Miller choke sign after hitting the game-tying shot, she too joined in to troll the Knicks.

When the Pacers play at home, she is usually joined by Indiana Fever superstar and close friend Caitlin Clark. But now Jones and Haliburton’s parents are in enemy territory as the Pacers take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 1st games of the NBA Finals.

She was ecstatic after Tyrese Haliburton hit the game-winner in the 1st of those battles. Today in Game 2, when the Thunder were pummeling the Pacers, it seems a passionate home fan wanted to trash-talk Haliburton.

Game footage captured an animated Jade Jones responding back with her own trash talk vocabulary, pointing fingers, and taking jabs with her gestures. She probably wanted to remind them what her boyfriend did in the first game.

It seems as if Jones’ friendship with Caitlin Clark was rubbing off on her. The Fever guard is known to be one of the best trash talkers in the WNBA, and can hold her ground against anyone. Jones seemed to have caught on from her fellow Iowa native and continues to do her job as Tyrese Haliburton’s ‘biggest cheerleader’.

Jade Jones did not have much to say at the end after Tyrese Haliburton’s Pacers lost Game 2

In Game 2, the Indiana Pacers started off their quest to try and win. Initially, they looked like they were doing a decent job keeping pace with the Oklahoma City Thunder. As the game went on, they could not hold on any longer.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his teammates suffocated the Pacers. Tyrese Haliburton and his teammates struggled to score at their usual efficiency from the field. That compounded matters, and the home team pulled away to a double-digit lead.

Even after the Pacers tried to start a rally, the Thunder’s impressive all-around defense was too much for the away team to counter. The home team’s dominance was such that they were up by more than 20 points at certain points.

The West champions won the game 123-107, but that final score was not a complete reflection of how the game was lopsided. The Indiana Pacers need to figure out how to counter that dominance when they return home for the next two games.

Tyrese Haliburton and Pacers have to avoid falling behind

The story of the 2025 NBA Playoffs has been about Tyrese Haliburton’s game-winners and the Indiana Pacers’ ability to come back and win from losing positions. Game 1 of the NBA Finals was the best of them all as the point guard’s game-winner was the only time the Pacers led in that game.

Even though many feared that the Pacers would hand out the same fate to the home team, some believe the Thunder did not play to their best. There is a reason why almost all members of the media had the Thunder winning it all, as at their best, there are only a few teams that can beat them.

Heading towards 2 home games, the Indiana Pacers will have the support of their passionate fans. That, however, will not be enough and nor will their usual capacity to come back from a deficit. The Thunder displayed tonight that their entire team can hold its ground.

That means the Pacers will need to at least be closer than they were tonight before embarking on another game-changing rally. Else, Tyrese Haliburton’s girlfriend would not have much to talk about to opposing fans or on social media.
