Riley Gaines and Simone Biles got into a heated battle on social media on Friday regarding the trans athlete controversy. The former NCAA swimmer is now ‘ready‘ to face off against Biles in a debate regarding this topic.

The clash between these two began on Friday after Gaines made another post on X calling out the inclusion of trans athletes in women’s sports. The ex-Kentucky swimmer took a jab at the Champlin Park, the Class AAAA Softball State Champion for 2025.

Gaines pointed out that the star player of that team was a trans athlete competing against women. Following this tweet on X, Biles would call her a “bully” and “sore loser” while attacking her.

@Riley_Gaines_ You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! But instead… You bully them… One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!

Following this post from Biles, several users on social users on social media slammed her. The Olympic gold medalist found herself on the receiving end of some extreme backlash.

On Sunday, Jillian Michaels, who hosts the Keeping It Real Podcast, tweeted out an invitation to both of these women to debate on this matter. Gaines would reply to this and admitted that she was ready to go head-on against the 7-time Olympic gold medalist.

Since that tweet, Biles has remained silent on the matter. On the other hand, Gaines has spoken out against it and taken a swipe at the gymnast for her choice of words against her on this topic.

Riley Gaines and Simone Biles exchanging jabs with each other was something nobody would have thought would happen. The two women exchanged some personal attacks. On Sunday, Gaines took another jab at Biles after an old tweet of hers went viral.

In a tweet made in 2017, Biles seemed to side with Gaines’ stance.

ahhhh good thing guys don’t compete against girls or he’d take all the gold medals !!

Gaines would react to this tweet and take another jab at the 28-year-old gymnast. She would ask how her past self completely “undermines” this current nonsensical argument.

Oop don’t you hate it when your past self completely undermines your current nonsensical argument? How has 2025 Simone reconciled with the fact 2017 Simone was a ‘truly sick bully’ by her own standard?

Gaines has been highly vocal against the inclusion of trans athletes in women’s sports for a while. Following her tie with trans swimmer Lia Thomas during the 2022 NCAA championships, Gaines has several times lashed out on Thomas and urged for the exclusion of trans athletes in girls and women competition.

After throwing some words at each other on Friday, Riley Gaines continued her attack on Simone Biles on Sunday. The women’s activist would go on to take swipe at the gymnast’s sportswear brand as well.

Biles has been one of the top athletes in the world. She is the 2nd most decorated female gymnast at the Olympics with 11 medals. During her rise to stardom, she had an agreement with Nike.

In 2021, Biles ended this sponsorship deal with them and signed with Athleta as their brand ambassador. Since then, this sportswear brand has been a partner of her.

On Sunday, Gaines even took a swipe at this brand. In a 6-word message on X, she would repost a tweet that called out the brand and expressed that she will not be “shopping” at this store from now on.

Since the tweets from Biles, several users have asked the brand to drop her as their brand ambassador. It now remains to be seen when she finally breaks her silence on this matter.
