Miami-Dade Police issued an arrest warrant against Antonio Brown recently after they discovered evidence against the former NFL wide receiver that linked him to the shooting outside a celebrity boxing event in May.

According to the Washington Post, the arrest warrant revealed that police want Brown in custody for attempted murder and carrying a firearm. The court is seeking a $10,000 bond from the 36-year-old, and he must remain under house arrest during the trial.

Despite their best efforts, the police have yet to establish a connection with Brown. It means the former Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star is a wanted man.

On May 15, Brown attended Adin Ross’ boxing event in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami. Video footage from the scene revealed Brown exchanging punches with another man before gunshots were heard in the background.

The police arrived after receiving a call, and they cuffed Brown. He was taken to the nearby police station before but released shortly after. Later, the retired receiver appeared on a live stream from Ross’ crib to reveal his end of the story.

Apparently, he was trying to protect a valuable chain from a guy who looked like a security guard. Brown allegedly reacted in self-defense before the police nabbed him.

The police released Brown due to a lack of evidence, until several cell phone videos that circulated on the internet attracted their attention. They filed the charges against Brown after seeing the videos.

The Post notes,

Patrons in the parking lot told officers that Brown was the shooter, according to the warrant, which also states that Brown had no weapon on him when officers patted him down. Investigators found two spent shell casings and an empty gun holster, according to the warrant.

What is the identity of the man who fought Antonio Brown?

While Brown painted himself as the victim in the altercation, the man whom he threw punches at finally came forward and defended himself. His name is Zül-Qarnaįn Nantambu, a pro-Palestinian activist.

Nantambu claimed Brown shot twice from his gun, and one of the bullets grazed him. He received treatment at Aventura Hospital and returned home.

Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton saw the videos from the night when the shooting took place and Nantambu’s confession. However, Newton found it hard to believe either.

If you are willing to do what you are willing to do, no matter if you are right or wrong, and it’s a protest or whatever, you wait. The clash of two crashes out happens, and we don’t know who to believe.

Cam Newton said

Brown is fighting tooth and nail to spread awareness on CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). He appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and even recorded YouTube videos to spread the word.

Brown played 12 seasons in the NFL, appearing in 146 games. He caught 928 passes for 12,291 yards and 88 touchdowns. In 2015, Brown set a personal record of 136 receptions for 1834 yards and 13 touchdowns. He attended seven Pro Bowls and led the league in receiving yards twice (2014 and 2015).
