Shedeur Sanders Receives the Perfect Advice to Succeed in NFL from Browns Legend Joe Thomas
Browns legend Joe Thomas wants Shedeur Sanders to talk less and shut the doubters' mouths by performing his best in the camp.

Shedeur Sanders went from starting every game in college to now fighting for a roster spot at the Cleveland Browns. Sanders won over the Browns fans with flashy passes in minicamp and mature answers to tricky questions by the press, but those will amount to nothing unless he secures a spot in the final roster cut in August.
A Browns Golden Jacket wearer gave valuable advice to Sanders recently. Joe Thomas, the big offensive tackle who played his entire career with the Browns, suggested that the Colorado graduate focus on giving his best in the camp rather than making TikTok videos.
Keep your mouth closed [Shedeur], and your eyes and ears open… Be humble, always diffuse praise, and always assume any criticism and accept it. The best thing he can do is just go to work every single day and get a little bit better.

According to reports from ESPN Cleveland, Sanders has been outperforming his competition, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.

NFL insider revealed the Browns are happy with Shedeur Sanders
Sanders was on top of the world while representing Colorado in college. However, NFL teams did not see the potential, on top of criticizing his attitude. Teams such as the Giants passed on him, and every other quarterback-needy team followed the same path until the Browns took him in the fifth round, after Gabriel.

Sanders has been proving the doubters wrong in the Browns’ training sessions. He passed with flying colors during the rookie camp and later created rapport with the veterans on the team as the OTAs progressed.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski shuffled his quarterbacks around, allowing them to share snaps with the first and the second teams. Sanders reportedly looked comfortable throwing the ball to both sets of players.
[Shedeur Sanders] showed the ability to put the ball in some tight windows. He threw with aggressiveness and took some chances. So, they like where he sits. Now, [Kevin] Stefanski has to formulate a plan in training camp that’s probably a little more crystallized. Maybe it has a little bit of a depth chart to it. They are not there yet, but Sanders has made an impression, there’s no doubt.

Despite making waves, Sanders isn’t allowing the praise to overwhelm him. His sole focus is proving himself to the coaches.
When it’s time for me to play, it’s time for me to play. But I’m not looking too far into the future… I’m focused on the small things. And over time, the big things will happen.

This is positive news for the Browns. Sanders may end up being a steal. He undeniably was among the top quarterbacks in college, and with the right coaching, the 23-year-old may end up leading the Browns in week one.
Stefanski has proven in the past that he has the pedigree to bring out the best in young quarterbacks. A notable example is Kirk Cousins, who went 10-5 in 2019 with the Vikings, while Stefanski was the offensive coordinator.
However, Stefanski needs to keep in mind that the Browns have the second-toughest schedule in 2025, as per Sharp Football Analysis. He must pick the right quarterback to start; otherwise, his job will be on the line.
