The clay swing ended after the 2025 French Open and now it’s time for the grass season. Right after the French Open, some players participated in the Stuttgart Open or Rosmalen Grass Court Championships- the two ATP 250 events.
Queen’s Club Championships and the Halle Open are the two ATP 500 events, both of which will run from June 16 to June 22. World No.1 Jannik Sinner is participating in Germany and World No.2 Carlos Alcaraz will headline the Queen’s tournament. The three-time Grand Slam champion will chase his second grass-court title in Halle, where last year he beat Hubert Hurkacz.
Alcaraz landed in London following a successful clay swing. He reached the final of every tournament he played (he skipped the Madrid Open due to an injury), winning three titles, including his second consecutive French Open title by beating Sinner in a thrilling final. The five-time Grand Slam champion is chasing his fifth title of the season following his victories in Rotterdam, Monte Carlo, Rome, and Paris.
Apart from the first seed, the other seven seeded players are: Jack Draper, Taylor Fritz, Holger Rune, Alex de Minaur, Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, and Jakub Mensik. Draper, the only British player here, is chasing his second title on grass following his victory at the 2024 Stuttgart Open he won by beating Matteo Berrettini, the two-time champion in the tournament but will skip it due to an injury issue.
Fritz will be chasing his fifth title on the surface. Before arriving in London, the American ace beat home favorite Alexander Zverev in the Stuttgart Open final. Fritz, apart from the ATP 250 tournament in the German city, has also lifted three Eastbourne International titles (in 2019, 2022, and 2024).
Tiafoe was the Stuttgart Open champion in 2023. De Minaur lifted the 2024 Rosmalen Grass Court Championships and the 2021 Eastbourne International. Shelton, Rune, and Mensik will be bidding to win their first title on grass.

Finalist | $292,759 |

Carlos Alcaraz is chasing his fourth title on grass. He first tasted success on the surface in 2023 by beating Australia’s Alex de Minaur in the Queen’s Club final.
The 22-year-old then clinched two back-to-back grass-court titles when he beat 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in an epic Wimbledon final to become a champion there for the first time, denying the Serb the Calendar Grand Slam. Just like last year, Djokovic will be playing only one grass-court tournament- Wimbledon, to chase his 25th Grand Slam title.
The following season, Alcaraz was defeated in his second match by Jack Draper at Queen’s. But later, the Spaniard reached the Wimbledon final and defended his crown by again beating Djokovic.
The Queen’s Club is one of the few singles tournaments the 38-year-old has never won. He was twice defeated in the finals (by Rafael Nadal in 2008 and by Marin Cilic in 2018). But he lifted the doubles in 2010 along with Jonathan Erlich.
Defending champion Tommy Paul was forced to retire from the tournament because of leg and abdominal injuries. Paul had defeated Lorenzo Musetti in the final last year but the Italian too won’t be playing as he suffered a leg muscle injury because of which, he retired mid-match during the French Open semifinal against Alcaraz.
Women’s events at the Queen’s were concluded on June 15. Germany’s Tatjana Maria defeated America’s Amanda Anisimova in straight sets in the final.
