Even on the brink of turning 80 in August, Vince McMahon doesn’t plan on slowing down with age. As per a scoop from Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, McMahon recently met with David Feldman, the founder and president of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. He was keen on acquiring controlling interest in BKFC.

However, Feldman, as quoted in Undisputed, stated that the timing wasn’t right for the two to close such a deal. The BKFC exec spoke highly of Mr. McMahon and his team. Feldman was quite unruffled with the former WWE chair’s power-seeking approach and said if he were McMahon, he’d want it too.

He’s a great guy, his whole team is great, but the timing wasn’t right for us. He’s Vince McMahon–if I were him, I’d want creative control, too.

Even though things didn’t work out between McMahon and Feldman, the ex-WWE boss is hellbent on plotting a return to the realm of sports entertainment. Barrasso’s reporting claims that after speaking with several higher-ups in combat sports and pro wrestling, the belief within the industry is that The Genetic Jackhammer will end up doing something in pro wrestling again. Back on May 30, McMahon’s brand-new venture saw the light of day.

He launched a new company titled 14TH & I to focus on areas of sport, media, and entertainment. Former WWE executive and longtime McMahon ally Brad Blum was named the president. At press time, there was no mention of McMahon’s firm catering to pro wrestling. While that could change in the future, the ill-famed business magnate isn’t linked to the business he once ruled the roost in right now.

Vince McMahon buying-back WWE rumors were not true

A former WWE commentator, Jonathan Coachman, had claimed that Vince McMahon was interested in buying WWE back from TKO. It made quite the noise on social media for a while before several reports debunked its credibility. It was learned that the parent company of WWE wouldn’t put the pro wrestling juggernaut up for sale. TKO Group Holdings has the UFC and WWE under its umbrella.

Endeavor now has a 61% controlling stake in TKO, making it even less of a publicly traded company. The rumors of McMahon potentially seeking a repurchase of WWE also stemmed from his liquidation of TKO stocks.

He liquidated almost $1.5 million in equity until April 2024. An SEC filing from a few months later revealed that the 79-year-old still had no fewer than 8 million TKO shares. McMahon was initially roped in as the executive chairman of the TKO Group Holdings.

However, a civil lawsuit accusing Vinnie Mac of sex**l trafficking and physical abuse by plaintiff Ms. Janel Grant ran McMahon out of business with TKO. Grant had recently submitted an amended version of her complaint, which was accepted in May. Almost three weeks later, another defendant, John Laurinaitis, was dropped from the lawsuit after siding with Grant and agreeing to provide new evidence against his former boss, McMahon.

Ex-WWE star says Vince McMahon should never return to the pro wrestling business

Vince McMahon doesn’t have a ton of people vouching for him anymore. In fact, he’s been advised to stay out of returning to his former work of line by Rachael Ellering. She’s currently under a contract with Ring of Honor. The 32-year-old worked for WWE from 2016 to 2020.

Speaking on the Monte and The Pharoah podcast, the WWE alum named three individuals who need to leave the business of pro wrestling alone. For Ellering, those people include Hulk Hogan, Tessa Blanchard, and McMahon. She called them scummy people and but*heads.

I think Hulk Hogan should (be out of wrestling), yeah, and I have no comment on Tessa (Blanchard)… I don’t think he (Vince McMahon) should ever work in wrestling again.

The Minnesotan grappler believes that the aforementioned names are terrible human beings. Moreover, she added that the spotlight should go to genuinely deserving figures and not those whom she singled out. McMahon’s reputation had already nosedived during the twilight of his WWE tenure.
