Even Lamar Jackson has a limit to how much criticism he can take from someone with whom he's barely even familiar.

Lamar Jackson no longer has any excuse, claimed a staunch Philadelphia Eagles fan on his podcast. The Baltimore Ravens roster was among the best in the NFL, with players such as Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers, Marlon Humphrey, and Kyle Hamilton starting week in and week out.

On top of it, general manager Eric DeCosta added a few more weapons in the offseason. DeCosta negotiated deals with All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and cornerback Jaire Alexander.

Miles Johnson, host of Real Talk with MJ, argued the Ravens’ roster is strong enough to win the Super Bowl.

I ain’t gonna lie bro, the Ravens are pissing me off. And I will say this, Lamar Jackson, [you have] no excuses now. Because you have a damn good roster. One of the best rosters in the NFL. So if you are that guy that say that you are, get it done this season. It is Super Bowl or bust.

Miles Johnson said

He pressured Jackson, the Ravens’ quarterback, to do his part by delivering clutch performances in the postseason, rather than running out of gas in the divisional round, as he did last campaign.

Jackson saw Johnson’s rant against him on Instagram and left a message in the comment section.

I love how yall lame ssa stay on my pipe Lamar no excuses… when tf have I ever complained ?? Just say we have a solid on paper roster so far all that other [sh**] not called for. You don’t play for the eagles lil bra continue to be a fan of the game.

Jackson’s teammate and tight end Isaiah Likely tweeted in support of his quarterback.

Be tryna tell folk leave [Lamar Jackson] alone because he WILL answer back.

Jackson needs another MVP-caliber year to go toe-to-toe with the AFC big boys. The Ravens came close to securing consecutive AFC title game appearances, but Mark Andrews’ crucial drop against the Bills in the divisional game ended their journey.

Field Yates, an experienced ESPN analyst, spoke in a similar tone to MJ. Yates pointed out that the Ravens’ pass rush capitulated in two crucial games, against the Eagles (week 13) and the Bills in the postseason.

[The Ravens] managed just five pressures—that’s not gonna cut it. In some ways that the reflection of the pass rush. RC [Ryan Clark] as you know, pass rush is often is as good as the secondary behind it & sometimes the secondary is good as the pass rush in front of it. Now on paper, there should be no excuses.

Jackson knows analysts will observe, dissect, and scrutinize his every move. He nearly had one hand on the trophy, but nearly doesn’t cut it in the NFL. During a recent interview, the 28-year-old revealed his biggest motivator in the upcoming season.

Vengeance. I never get over a loss… We’re going to bounce back, and when we come back, I feel like we are going to have vengeance on our minds.

Despite Henry’s presence on the team, Jackson anchored the Ravens from the front. He completed 4172 passes (8.8 yards per pass), 41 touchdowns, and 4 picks through the air (league-best 119.6 passer rating) alongside 139 carries for 915 yards (6.6 yards per carry) and 4 rushing touchdowns.
