Tyreek Hill is determined to prevent Jalen Ramsey from leaving the Miami Dolphins’ facility. The star wide receiver promised to talk to the All-Pro corner to reverse his decision to trade away from the AFC East franchise.
When reporters at Fanatics Fest asked Cheetah how he would pull it off, he replied,
I’m going to hang out with [Jalen] Ramsey today, [and] I’m going to get him back. Full-court press, I’m getting him, Ramsey, back in a Dolphins jersey.
Hill knows it’s best to avoid interfering in Ramsey’s trade talks because he risks receiving a penalty for tampering. So what? The fear of monetary penalty didn’t stop him from breaking a few rules in the past. So why now?
I don’t care what they say—tampering? Whatever—we need Ramsey. He’s a dog… He’s one of the best corners in the league, man. Great leader, great teammate too.
Tyreek Hill added
If Hill wants to make a move, he better do it quickly because ESPN’s Adam Schefter claimed Ramsey wants to play for a West Coast club. According to Schefter, he has until the training camp to wave his magic wand.

The 31-year-old handled his trade debacle smartly. He nearly quit the Dolphins on the final day of last season, as it was a total dumpster fire. Hill labeled it as the worst of his professional career. The Dolphins played their last card by updating his contract, which eventually kept him from leaving.
As for Ramsey, he’s already earning $24 million per year. Any changes to his contract could make him the highest-paid corner once again, overtaking the Texans’ Derek Stingley Jr., who earns $30 million/year.
Los Angeles Rams want the Jalen Ramsey trade to happen
If Ramsey favors the West Coast teams, then it leaves him with a few choices: the Chargers, Rams, and the Las Vegas Raiders. The obvious name that sticks out is the Rams, a team where he spent nearly four seasons and lifted his first Lombardi.

Head coach Sean McVay has made it clear that the Rams are interested in bringing their former star back to SoFi Stadium. However, it will not be easy.
Usually, those are scenarios and situations that you have to have plans in place prior to executing some of the decisions that have occurred.
Sean McVay said via the Rams’ official website
However, Bleacher Report’s Dawson Knox pointed out that the Rams can easily bypass Ramsey for a cheaper option.
Los Angeles needs to improve a pass defense that ranked 26th in net yards per pass attempt allowed last season. Signing a free-agent corner like Stephon Gilmore could make sense. The Rams have also expressed some interest in potentially reacquiring former starter Jalen Ramsey via trade.
Knox wrote
Gilmore brings years of experience, and despite pushing 35, he played 15 games for the Vikings in 2024, recording 56 tackles, 9 pass deflections, and one interception.
It’s up to the Rams to decide who suits their backfield better. However, McVay’s window of signing his former player will close if Tyreek Hill successfully persuades Ramsey to stick around in Miami.

Even though the Dolphins missed out on postseason football for the first time in three years, Ramsey was exceptional in the secondary. He capped off the 2024 season with 60 combined tackles, 11 pass deflections and 2 interceptions.
