In the 2025–26 season, Durant, the four-time scoring champion and 2014 NBA MVP, will enter the last year of his contract. This past season, he averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, demonstrating his continued high level of productivity even though he is nearing the end of his career.
