Kane, who was born in Vancouver, would join the Vancouver Giants as an amateur in 2006. He would explode onto the scene in the 2008-09 season. After three seasons with the Giants, he was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets in the 2009 draft.

Boeser, was the joint 2nd highest point scorer for the Canucks last season with 75 points (25 goals and 50 assists), just behind captain Quinn Hughes with 76 points.
