(Video) LA Knight Savagely Ignores CM Punk’s Warning for Him on Raw
CM Punk wanted LA Knight to get to the back of the line when it came to settling the scores with Seth Rollins.

LA Knight caused quite a stir on this week’s Raw in Pittsburgh. He blindsided Seth Rollins after the latter had escaped to the concourse area from a relentless CM Punk. The Visionary was guffawing as if he were safe only to get clocked in the head by a popcorn-eating Knight. They started brawling upstairs, and it spilled over to the club seating of the arena.
After swinging at each other for a while, Rollins saw an opening and showed The Megastar a pair of clean heels. Afterwards, an irate Punk spotted Knight backstage. The Best in the World relayed to Knight that he knew the erstwhile Eli Drake had his own issues with Rollins. However, the Chicagoan asked the former Max Dupri to get to the back of the line when it comes to getting his hands on The Architect.
An ever-so-defiant Knight retorted by saying that Punk could have him six days a week. But for now, The Megastar has finally gotten what he’d been looking for—a singles match with the 2025 Mr. Money in the Bank. Knight informed Punk that he’ll be taking on Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. That being said, it might not bode well for the former US Champion with the kind of backing that Rollins possesses.

LA Knight: "If you want Seth, you can have him 6 days a week. But SNME just announced it’s me & Seth. I'm the line.”

A couple of absolute behemoths in Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are definitely going to play a part at SNME in Atlanta. It was Reed alone who cost Knight the first-round matchup in the King of the Ring tournament. Moreover, the Rollins recruits have inflicted some serious damage on the 42-year-old in recent weeks.
What did CM Punk do on Raw?
CM Punk interrupted Gunther’s ongoing segment with Seth Rollins on Raw. Before the former AEW star showed up, The Architect was stressing about his pledge of not letting Punk get close to becoming a world champion in WWE until he’s breathing. And that’s why Rollins traveled to Riyadh.

His primary motive wasn’t cashing in his MITB contract on John Cena but rather making sure that The Second City Saint didn’t walk out of Saudi Arabia with the Undisputed WWE title. After Rollins was done explaining his obsession with Punk, he pointed over to the World Heavyweight title resting around Gunther’s waist before The Best in the World’s music hit.

The latter made a beeline for his arch-nemesis, and they started trading haymakers in the middle of that ring. The Visionary eventually found a way to retreat as Punk was absolutely livid over his Night of Champions fate, which has everything to do with Rollins and company. Just when Punk was in a mood to exit, Gunther tried holding him back but got shoved down to the mat in return.
Is CM Punk next in line for Gunther?
CM Punk has never wrestled Gunther in a televised WWE match. However, they have indeed squared off during live events. This week’s interaction between the two might be a premonition of things to come. After failing to dethrone John Cena in Riyadh, The Voice of the Voiceless could segue into another world title program with The Ring General.

Moreover, this would be nothing short of a SummerSlam main event. As WWE has booked the MetLife Stadium for two straight nights on August 2 and 3, the company officials will be looking to stack up the card with some big-time money matches.

And without a shadow of doubt, Gunther vs. Punk is one of them. The fans were highly critical of the Austrian’s previous world title reign being devoid of credible and worthy opponents. But a change is visible this time around, with Gunther already lined up to face Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
