Alison Riske is a professional tennis player from the United States. On November 4, 2019, she attained her career-high singles ranking of world No. 18 and won her maiden WTA Tour title at the Tianjin Open in October 2014. On the ITF Women’s Circuit, she has won two WTA singles championships, as well as nine singles and one doubles title.

Reaching the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2019 (where she defeated world No. 1 and reigning French Open champion Ashleigh Barty in the fourth round), is her best singles performance at Grand Slam tournament.

Stephen Amritraj is a former professional tennis player who represented India. He is an Indian-American. He is Vijay Amritraj’s nephew and Anand Amritraj’s son. Amritraj is the son of former world tour player Anand Amritraj and the paternal cousin of Prakash Amritraj, another former pro who also represented India. Amritraj’s highest singles rating in his career is 973, which he achieved in June 2007.

Alison Riske’s relationship with Stephen Amritraj began in April of 2014. The first time they were mentioned on social media was in one of Stephen’s tweets, which Alison chose as her favourite. They kept tagging one other on Instagram and sharing photos together throughout 2014 and 2015. On August 6, 2015, they received their first confirmation. Reporters began referring to Stephen as her coach, which Alison quickly corrected on Twitter by stating that he was her boyfriend. In June of 2016, the couple announced their engagement. Stephen’s cousin, Prakash Amritraj, announced the news on Instagram. In July of 2019, they got married in Pittsburgh.
