Drake Takes Shots at Former Best Friend LeBron James in Latest Single

There seems to be no love lost between Drake and LeBron James at the moment. The two had a strong relationship for several years, but it seemed to break down in the last year after James seemingly sided with Kendrick Lamar during the beef between the rappers.

With his ninth studio album due in two days, the Canadian rapper’s new song “1 AM in Albany” leaked. The lyrics of the song caught everyone’s attention, especially within the NBA community, as there were some subtle shots directed at James.

I shouldn’t even be shocked to see you in that arena, because you always made your career off of switching teams up. Please stop asking what’s going on with 23 & me, I’m a real ni—a, and he’s not, it’s in my DNA.

If the leak turns out to be true, it is clear that Drake and LeBron James are no longer on good terms. There have been speculations that the two are not on good terms anymore, but these lyrics confirm the speculations.

It all started when James openly supported Lamar during his 2024 rap battle with Drake and even attended his concert. Things got amplified once again when James and his wife, Savannah, were spotted singing “Not Like Us” by Lamar, which was targeted at Drake.

While James has reiterated his love for the rapper in an interview with Complex Music a few months ago, it doesn’t seem so based on Drake’s latest leaked lyrics. Drake has developed a relationship with several NBA stars over the years and continues to share a strong bond with Kevin Durant.

Drake’s latest LeBron James diss sparks buzz in the NBA community

There is no doubt that Drake is one of the biggest and most popular artists in the world today. His upcoming album is titled “ICEMAN” and is expected to be a huge success. He and LeBron James have been spotted together several times in the past, but it looks like the beef with Lamar changed everything.

The lyrics targeting James were quick to go viral across social media. It caught the attention of several NBA fans who did not waste any time reacting to it.

Dissing LeBron for switching teams is rich coming from the guy who went from Degrassi to Memphis to Toronto to everyone's bad side. And going at Bron while still taking shots at Kendrick after the "Heart Part 6" got universally cooked is giving I need attention energy. At some…

Many fans were surprised that Drake took shots at James, considering the beef with Lamar was two years ago. While James has downplayed any rift between the two, it looks like Drake isn’t ready to let it go just yet.

Los Angeles Lakers would love to have LeBron James back

The LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers partnership may have come to an end after eight years. After losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 on Monday, many believe that the 41-year-old may have played his final game for the Lakers as his contract ends in the offseason.

There have been several reports and rumors of where James may go in the offseason, but the player has revealed that he hasn’t decided anything yet. Lakers President Rob Pelinka revealed that the Lakers would love to have James back.

We probably haven’t seen a player that has honored the game to the extent that he’s honored the game. He’s given so much to his teammates, to this organization. The thing we want to do more than anything else is to honor him back.
