- Naomi Osaka impressed at the French Open with an Eiffel Tower-inspired outfit, garnering admiration from Aryna Sabalenka.
- Sabalenka expressed her desire to create a memorable court entrance in the future, inspired by Osaka's fashion choices.
- Both players emphasize the importance of individuality and enjoyment in tennis, balancing professionalism with personal expression.
As Naomi Osaka had promised, she made another regal Grand Slam entrance. She made global headlines when she entered the Australian Open with a jellyfish-inspired outfit, receiving mixed reactions from the tennis world.
And now, at the French Open, Osaka turned heads with an outfit inspired by the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. She donned a sleeveless golden beaded top with a long black pleated skirt. And one of the admirers of Osaka’s ensemble was none other than World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka.
This is sparkling. I love it. I love that she’s expressing herself. She feels confident. That’s the beauty of the fashion world. There’s space for anything. I love that she’s bringing it on court.
Aryna Sabalenka told TNT Sports
Osaka defeated Laura Siegemund 6-3, 7-6(3) in the first round to schedule her next match against Donna Vekic. Following her match, the Japanese ace said she loves to express her personality through fashion, and that the Majors provide a platform to players like her to show their individuality.

Osaka also had a backup outfit because she thought the gold one could cause problems if it shone brightly during competition. Sabalenka wants to follow in the footsteps of her fellow four-time Grand Slam singles champion one day.
I think we have a bit different style. But for sure, one day I will come up with something cool, like with a cool entrance on court. I feel like I would go more like something classic… I don’t know, like less, but more, you know?
When she heard the suggestion of making an entrance with a tiger, she joked, “Yes! We just came up with a cool idea over here.“
While Sabalenka finished as the runner-up in last year’s French Open, Osaka has never made it past the third round. The former World No.1 has yet to win a title since winning the 2021 Australian Open.
Aryna Sabalenka on her love for social media
Aryna Sabalenka wants to be an example of someone who enjoys life to the fullest while remaining highly professional, breaking the stereotype that elite athletes are all work and no play. And this is why she loves using social media and shows the tennis world it’s alright to have fun off the court and not lose themselves while chasing accomplishments.

When I feel it’s too much, when I feel exhausted doing it, or I’m lazy, I simply don’t do it. In general, I love using social media; I love sharing who I am with people, I like showing the life I lead. I like to show the positive side of tennis; I like to show that it’s okay to have fun off the court while working hard at the same time.
Aryna Sabalenka said at the press conference
The Belarusian ace breezed past Jessica Bouzas Maneiro to schedule her second-round match against Elsa Jacquemot. In last year’s Roland Garros final, Sabalenka squandered a set lead and lost to Coco Gauff.
I want the next generation to have a healthy view of this tough athlete life; I think some players can focus too much on the professional side and forget about themselves off the court.
Aryna Sabalenka added
Sabalenka has already lifted three titles from four finals this year. The only time she lost a final was at the Australian Open to Elena Rybakina. She defended her Brisbane International title (beat Marta Kostyuk), and then completed the Sunshine Double (beat Rybakina in Indian Wells and Gauff in Miami).
Before arriving in Paris, Sabalenka lost both the clay-court events she played without making the semifinals. Hailey Baptiste knocked her out in the Madrid quarterfinals, while Sorana Cirstea beat her in the third round of the Italian Open.
