- BKFC president David Feldman expressed disappointment over not being able to award knockout bonuses to all fighters as requested by McGregor.
Conor McGregor has expanded his business empire by taking a partial ownership stake in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship alongside David Feldman. The McGregor–Feldman partnership has helped BKFC grow into one of the most entertaining combat sports promotions. Former UFC contender Darren Till made his BKFC debut at BKFC 90, surviving a knockdown before knocking out Aaron Chalmers.
In recent years, Till looked noticeably different from the version that competed near the top of the UFC ranks. The Englishman often appeared with a softer physique, lacking the defined muscle tone associated with his peak years in the promotion. However, ahead of BKFC 90, Till entered fight week with a fully ripped physique, presenting a sharp contrast to the body shape fans had seen in recent years.
The BKFC 90 bout in Birmingham featured Till making his bare-knuckle debut. Chalmers landed a clean left hook in the opening round, scoring a knockdown that forced Till to take a standing count. The former UFC star recovered and adjusted his approach in the second round, improving accuracy and timing on his counterstrikes. He then landed a straight left hand that knocked the former Bellator star out.

The victory continued the Liverpudlian’s recent winning momentum across combat sports. Before facing Chalmers, Till defeated former UFC champion Luke Rockhold at Misfits 22 in August 2025 to win the MFB Bridgerweight Title. Prior to that, he also secured victories over Darren Stewart and Anthony Taylor under the Misfits Boxing banner. Those results established Till as one of the most successful crossover stars.
Till was expected to debut in BKFC long before officially joining. Rumors first gained momentum when he faced off with BKFC ‘King of Violence’ champion Mike Perry during a Misfits PRIME event in Manchester. The rivalry generated significant attention across combat sports. However, Perry later revealed that Till had turned down an offer worth more than $2 million to fight him under the BKFC banner.
BKFC has undoubtedly flourished under the leadership of Conor McGregor and David Feldman, delivering blockbuster events around the world. The promotion has consistently matched unknown fighters against household names, creating new stars in the process. That formula has helped fuel BKFC’s rapid growth. Following his impressive debut, Darren Till appears poised to help usher in the promotion’s next era.
David Feldman reveals why Conor McGregor’s bonus request left him disappointed
Conor McGregor undoubtedly possesses one of the most energetic and interesting personalities in combat sports. The Irishman has built his reputation through entertaining promos and an unmatched ability to sell fights. Those traits helped make him one of the biggest stars in MMA. Since becoming involved with BKFC, McGregor has also helped elevate the promotion to the next level.

BKFC president David Feldman was pleased with the promotion’s May 30 event, which drew 7,492 fans to the Utilita Arena in Birmingham. While only four of the twelve bouts went to a decision, BKFC maintains high standards for what qualifies as an exciting fight. Feldman also expressed disappointment that McGregor’s wish to award a knockout bonus to every fighter on the card could not be fulfilled.
Really good night here in Birmingham. Got off to a bit of a slow start. Honestly, I was a little bit aggravated with some of the action, and then the guys just started picking it up as the night went on. It’s kind of based on their purse so we’ll figure that out on Monday but, you know, I was hoping to, I wanted to give out 12 bonuses. But, I’m only going to be able to give out three or four of them.

McGregor’s influence has extended beyond promotion and matchmaking, with the Irishman recently backing major benefits for BKFC fighters. One of the promotion’s biggest long-term plans is to offer equity opportunities to champions and established fighters, something McGregor previously pushed for during his UFC career. The initiative reflects BKFC’s efforts to reward athletes beyond fight purses.
