Combat sports athletes struggle after their retirement to a certain point. Retired UFC star Dustin Poirier having a drunk incident that led to his arrest is a prime example. Similarly, others may run into money problems like Floyd Mayweather did.

Last month, Mayweather filed a civil lawsuit against former associate Jona Rechnitz and investment firm Frist Apex Ventures. Reports indicated that Mayweather lost around $170 million of his money. This is tough considering ‘The Pretty Boy’ has amassed hundreds of millions during his professional career.

The news recently reached UFC CEO Dana White, and a reporter asked him about the whole ordeal. White and Mayweather worked together for the ‘Money Fight’ involving Conor McGregor. Moreover, White has always praised Mayweather for his undefeated record. As such, the UFC boss was sympathetic to the undefeated boxer losing most of his money.

I’ve talked to him about it. You have to wait to see how this thing is gonna play out in the court for him. When somebody works hard as he did, amasses the type of wealth he had, and then they lose it or it’s stolen, it’s horrible. Who knows, anything is possible, maybe we can do something to figure it out for him.

The initial years after retirement was going well for Floyd Mayweather. In the Saitama Super Arena in Japan, Mayweather boxed Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition bout after retiring following the bout against McGregor.

Since then, he has competed in several bouts in the exhibition side of things. However, money problems started to surface, whether it was Mayweather losing money or not paying others properly. WWE superstar and YouTuber, Logan Paul, revealed that the undefeated boxing legend still owed him money from their 2021 exhibition bout.

Ahead of an exhibition rematch against Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather reportedly took advance payment due to alleged money troubles. Now, their proposed rematch is likely on hold. Meanwhile, no new information has resurfaced about Mayweather’s rumored bout against Mike Tyson.

These past few years have brought only negative attention and controversies towards the retired American boxer, including the loss of his wealth.

Mayweather has talked about potentially returning to compete in the professional circuit again. As such, it remains to be seen if Dana White can come up with something for the undefeated boxing legend.

Dana White confirms talks with Turki Alalshikh over Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua superfight

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua represents the best British heavyweight fight that can be put on for this generation. As such, British promoters, Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn, has clashed with Dana White on numerous occasions on who will ultimately promote the boxing superfight.

With tensions boiling between Hearn and White, Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh has issued a meeting to sort out the differences. White, Warren, and Hearn will likely meet with Alalshikh before announcing more details about Fury vs AJ. The UFC boss recently spoke about the peace meeting after his Zuffa Boxing event concluded.

That (Peace meeting) would make sense. I have all the info. See what Turki says at the peace summit.

The main issue remains the venue of the proposed boxing superfight. Considering Fury and AJ are British boxers, the superfight should take place in the UK. However, there is also possibility of the long-awaited bout happening on the US soil.

Moreover, White relayed to the reporter that he never said anything about Las Vegas being the venue for the superfight. All the details are likely to come out once Alalshikh meets with all the concerned parties.

If they proceed with a US-based venue, the British boxing fans are likely to cause chaos on the internet. Hence, fans await the decision of Turki Alalshikh at the peace summit to see which direction Fury vs AJ superfight will be going to.
