“So it’s gonna be forever…,” the famous lyric from Taylor Swift‘s massive hit Blank Space, was written on the ivory handkerchiefs that were reportedly gifted to 1,000 wedding guests. It’s been quite a few days since the popstar tied the knot with her three-time Super Bowl champion husband, Travis Kelce, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, but the buzz surrounding the wedding doesn’t seem to die down.

The Swifties are desperately waiting for the wedding pictures because neither the guests nor the couple themselves have shared them yet. The Anti-Hero singer got engaged to Kelce in August last year.

And it was confirmed on Friday that they have become a married couple when the giant screens outside MSG lit up with the message, “JUST&T MARRIED!” It was Happy Gilmore actor Adam Sandler who officiated the wedding.

But Jessica Pegula is not one of those crazy fans that want to know each and every detail about Swift and Kelce’s extravagant wedding. That doesn’t mean she is not at all aware of what’s happening back home.

A little bit. Des [Desirae Krawczyk] is the big Taylor Swift fan. The rest of us, we like listening to her music, but we’re not quite like her. It’s been a little bit of a topic because nobody knew what was happening with it… Oh, we heard she’s already married. We heard that they put the sign out on MSG. Then you obviously started seeing some of the pictures coming out. Adam Sandler officiated the wedding. We’ve been keeping up on it a little bit.

Jessica Pegula said at the press conference at Wimbledon

Pegula will be playing in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. In the fourth round, she came from a set down to knock out teen sensation Iva Jovic.

It’s crazy. But it’s Taylor Swift. I don’t expect anything less than doing something different. Not totally surprising. But yeah, interesting. I don’t know.

Jessica Pegula added

Pegula is a one-time Grand Slam finalist, reaching the stage at the 2024 US Open. She will be playing in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon for the second time in her career.

Jessica Pegula will next be playing countrywoman Coco Gauff. The two-time Grand Slam singles champion trails 3-5 in the head-to-head matchups.

Gauff, before setting up the clash with Pegula, came from a set down to eliminate Belinda Bencic. At the press conference afterward, she talked about her upcoming match against Pegula.

Honestly, it’s going to be quite similar. She will be the third flat-hitter I face consecutively. I think the last two matches have prepared me well for her. Yes, she’s always a tough opponent for me. She’s very consistent, retrieves a lot of balls, and can also play very aggressively.

Gauff will be playing the quarterfinals of Wimbledon for the first time in her career. She has yet to reach a final on grass, but Pegula has won two titles from three finals on the surface.

This is the second time Gauff will play the quarterfinals of a Major following the Australian Open. Pegula will be hoping to reach a Major semifinal for the second time this year (she reached the stage in Melbourne).

This season, Gauff has played two finals, losing both (the Miami Open to Aryna Sabalenka and the Italian Open to Elina Svitolina). Pegula, on the other hand, has played three finals, winning the Dubai Tennis Championships (beat Svitolina), defending the Charleston Open (beat Yuliia Starodubtseva), but lost the Berlin Open to Linda Noskova. The last time Pegula clinched a title on grass was in last year’s Bad Homburg Open against Iga Swiatek.
