ESPN Analyst Justifying Caitlin Clark Being Ranked 11th-Best Guard Baffles Fans – “This Dude is Part of the Problem”
Candace Parker slammed WNBA players for voting Caitlin Clark 11th-best among guards in the All-Star voting process.

No matter how much Caitlin Clark decides to stay away from social media and all the narratives that are created around her, there seems to be no respite for the Indiana Fever superstar.
Just when the Alyssa Thomas fist-to-throat incident was about to die down, certain members of Congress decided that they could make something out of it and send a memo to the WNBA demanding that they protect Clark against the violence that she is subjected to.
In the meantime, another incident that came to everyone’s attention was when her peers voted her the 11th-best among the guards. This created a furore, with fans labeling players as jealous and petty.
Since this has now become a recurring trend after voting her ninth last year, Candace Parker asked the others to check in with their therapists. Unsurprisingly, First Take decided to pick up this topic since Stephen A. Smith is on vacation.
There’s really no controversy about that… What bothers me is when this is framed as some sort of petty jealousy or insecurity by these women in the WNBA… Caitlin Clark is experiencing pretty much what happens anytime a young player comes into the league with a lot of hype.

“I don't think that you can make a compelling argument that Caitlin Clark is a top-four guard in the WNBA.” @DavidDTSS speaks on Caitlin Clark's hype coming into the league 👀 pic.twitter.com/tayIgi6new

This analyst believes that the players were right to vote Caitlin Clark 11th-best because she has not proven to be anywhere near the top four or five best in the league. Therefore, labeling her peers as jealous is uncalled for.
Fans tear into ESPN analyst for bizarre Caitlin Clark take
Naturally, this will trend immediately, especially with the bizarre notion that David Dennis Jr. led with. But fans were not at all happy with the way he conveniently disregarded the proof at hand.
They pointed out that Caitlin Clark is top-5 in the league in both points and assists, while also being a top-10 guard in rebounds, steals, and blocks.
If that is not enough to make her a top three or four guard, social media asked what she needs to do? They felt that he was just trying to create content while intentionally trying to tarnish Clark’s name. Check out examples of those reactions below.
This dude is part of the problem! Poor analysis of the current issues plaguing the WNBA.

So what do you see when a player is the most flagrantly fouled player in the league. The most disrespected by players, media and other fan bases except the Fever.

When said player has done nothing BUT help uplift this league and all women in it. SMH
Nobody in the history of the WNBA has averaged 20+ points and 8+ assists per game over the span of one month.

Caitlin Clark is averaging that for the entire season.
That seems like a pretty compelling argument to me @DavidDTSS pic.twitter.com/vi4Af30Rpu
Clark was 11th and Kelsey Plum was 12th. Now explain Plum

All of these sports talking heads should be shunned from society.

Maybe he needs to consider the facts & stats before trying to gas light people.

Saying that Wemby is facing the same scrutiny as Clark is objectively stupid. A lot of people have a lot of thoughts on this CC situation, but “this isn’t a big deal” is definitely not one of them.

Don’t you all ever get tired of lying about CC? You are wrong on every single take lol 😂. There are no other players that have received the treatment that she has 🤦♀️

David Dennis Jr. has a penchant for saying outlandish things while on television, and fans felt that this was no different. Caitlin Clark had just slammed such members of the media for creating unnecessary narratives, but it seems there is no stopping them.
Hall of Famer claims Caitlin Clark is facing the effects of pettiness
While some, such as David Dennis Jr., try to spin this conversation by claiming that WNBA players are not jealous, a Hall of Famer clearly believes there is enough envy and pettiness in the league.

Caitlin gets the crap beat out of her. There’s jealousy. There’s envy. Because to me, she’s in the top 3 or 4 players in this league and she’s changed the game.

Nancy Lieberman has witnessed the rise of Caitlin Clark from her college days and made it clear that because she garners massive attention and is also a very good player at that, it was natural for her peers to feel jealous of her time and again.
