Novak Djokovic loves to experiment with wellness practices that he believes help him prolong his career. During the recently concluded Wimbledon, Djokovic was spotted wearing ear seeds.
The practice of ear seeding originated from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and the seeds are usually made of gold or plastic, and even herbs. This acupressure-based practice claims to stimulate the central nervous system and relieve stress, anxiety, pain, and fatigue.
TCM claims to regulate the flow of energy, which is known in Chinese medicine as Qi. The practice of ear seeding is not scientifically proven.
Coming back to Djokovic, he doesn’t shy away from incorporating technology to optimize his health and performance. Following his five-hour, 14-minute quarterfinal win over Felix Auger-Aliassime, the 39-year-old used the Regenesis wellness pod to recover quickly ahead of his semifinal match against eventual champion Jannik Sinner.
Now Kim Clijsters also loves experimenting with wellness practices that she believes help her body, which is why she wants to pick Djokovic’s brain about biohacking.
I would have a million questions, there’s so many things that intrigue me about him. I know he did some like breathing methods and a lot of lot of things. So yeah, definitely would love to.
Kim Clijsters said on the Love All podcast
Clijsters said she won the 2011 Australian Open while using two healing crystals on her skin on the right side of her pocket, and at that time, she believed it boosted her energy.
I feel like that’s how it’s always been for me, like I even my people in my team were like, ‘Kim, like why are you doing this?’ [And I am like] ‘Like listen, don’t ask questions, I like this, it makes me feel good, I need this.’ And yeah, so that’s a part of it too, is right, like you always try to find things that make your brain kind of relax in the certain at the right times and yeah I would love to pick his brain about it.

Djokovic lost that match to Sinner in straight sets. He later admitted that he did not recover completely after that marathon win over Auger-Aliassime.
Aryna Sabalenka reveals Novak Djokovic’s advice on return
Last year, Aryna Sabalenka admitted to copying Novak Djokovic‘s return motion. Sabalenka, during her interview with First&Red, revealed the conversation she had with Nole when she asked him what he focuses on when he is standing on the court waiting to return.

He said, well, first of all, he has a specific stance; I tried it, and it really made it easier for me to react. Plus, he said, ‘I focus on myself; I just try to do a split-step and then react.’ Also, you can often see where the opponent is serving, or you get a feel for it. So, that was the advice! Ever since then, he’s been like, ‘You’re copying me.’ Well, it’s sort of like copying the best.
Both Sabalenka and Djokovic were last seen in action at Wimbledon. The Belarusian ace lost to Naomi Osaka in the fourth round and is next set to play at the Canadian Open.
Sabalenka, after completing the Sunshine Double, has yet to reach another final. Both Sabalenka and Djokovic lost this year’s Australian Open final, the former to Elena Rybakina and the latter to Carlos Alcaraz.
At the French Open, Sabalenka suffered a quarterfinal exit, while Djokovic’s run was ended by Joao Fonseca even though he was two sets to love up at first. Sabalenka, apart from completing the Sunshine Double, also lifted the Brisbane International.
